Good service and quick. The food was hot but not too hot and was good. We both got the kulua pork bowl and I got a macaroni salad side. Also grabbed one blue berry cheesecake. It was good but was not too fond of the graham cracker crust.
Place was clean. Shame there were not bathrooms though.

Couldn’t finish the food, sodium overload. My family visited on the 8th which my wife had a Garlic Shrimp plate while I got the Garlic Chicken plate. Both plates were SO salty that it overpowers the flavors, almost un-eatable. We probably won’t be going back any time soon….

I was craving a fried fish sandwich and was delighted to see it on the menu. It was very delicious and satisfying. The fish was crispy but not dry and it was served on a nice quality bun. You have to ask for the lettuce, onion and tomato. The sandwich came with the perfect amount of yummy tartar sauce on it and it was no problem getting some extra on the side to dip my fries. Crinkle fries were crispy perfection! I loved the food and the clean new location with ample indoor seating. The girl working there was really sweet too. Highly recommend!

Went back today and ordered the teri beef plate again (listed as bbq beef on menu) a drink.
I assume they were still getting things worked out for this place when I got it last time(tasted like vinegar and salt on beef)
Perfect this time! Flavor was spot on for teri beef. Glad to know it’s up to good standard now!
Prices could use some work. A regular plate running 18 dollars is overpriced. A drink brings it up to $22 not including tip.

We were looking for some local BBQ for dinner. We were disappointed with the experience. We had poor service, a long wait and the food was bland. My husband had the ribs and the cut of meat was not good. I saw these restaurants all over the island, I am hoping an isolated experience at this one location.

Our favorite L&L anywhere is in Pahoa. They have moved into a new location and the new space is very nice. The staff have always been especially nice to customers with a true Aloha spirit. I like having the option of the healthier plate with green salad instead of macaroni salad. The chicken is always good. Covid precautions are enforced with mask wearing required and social distancing in place. Dine in is currently allowed.

This is probably the most modern L&L that we’ve ever been to.
The staff at this location are super helpful and nice. They answered all of our questions.
I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu with curry.

The food was delicious but there wasn’t enough beef stew sauce. My rice was a little dry.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue in Pāhoa is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Hawaiian comfort food! The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the prices are very reasonable. I absolutely loved their island style breakfast plate—especially the flavorful Portuguese sausage and fried rice!
The service is always quick and friendly, even during busy times. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a hearty meal that leaves you fully satisfied. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, L&L is a must-visit for a true taste of Hawaii! Highly recommend!
