Service seemed lost.
Ordered appetizers and the wait for just those was prolonged for being not busy.
Dishes were chipped.
Hot food came out before cold food.
Disco fries where bland and came out on a chipped dish. No green in the dish.
Chopped wedge salad had good flavor.
While eating, people came inand no one greeting them. Slow seating for it being dead at 8 pm at night on a Saturday
Caprese salad was missing EEVO and a touch of salt.
Waiter at another tabled offered cocktails our server did not.
Our server, Alex, was awesome and helped us navigate the menu since it was our first time. We also met the owner and mentioned how far we had driven (90 mins) just to try the place and that we’d definitely be back soon to try the Philly since we opted for the pizzas for our first time.
After I paid and we were about to head out, Alex stopped us and said “You can’t leave.” we were confused until she said the owner actually went back and made us a Philly on the house to take home just so we could try it! It was amazing. We’ll definitely be making the drive back sooner rather than later. Highly recommend!
They offer some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, too. You can choose gluten-free crust for your pizza or plant-based cheese for pizza or pasta.
There is a fenced-in outdoor area with tables and a small stage where they host songwriter showcases on Sundays from 5-8pm.
The owners and all of the staff are super friendly, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Gonna have to try their pizza next!
Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. After being seated, we waited 10–15 minutes with no menus, no drinks, and no communication at all. When our server finally came over, we had to ask for menus and drinks. We were given adult menus but told they were out of kids menus, with no explanation of kids options other than “just think of it as smaller versions of adult food.”
We also wanted to order beer and asked where the beer options were listed. The server told us they weren’t listed because they “change them up a lot” and then just verbally listed them, seeming very unsure of what they had. There was no written menu or tap list to reference.
We ordered two appetizers, which took quite a while to arrive. When they did, we still had no napkins or silverware. After asking for napkins, the server brought fabric napkins that weren’t folded and looked like they were pulled from a pile — and then placed one directly on our food.
When it was time to order entrees, we ordered the kids’ food first. The one pizza I had specifically wanted — and the main reason we chose to come — was out of stock. It would have been extremely helpful to know that earlier, especially given how long we had already been waiting.
The kids’ pizza arrived on a metal serving dish that was piping hot, and there was no warning given. This was especially concerning since it was a kids’ meal. Thankfully, one of us touched it first before one of our kids did, but that could have easily resulted in a burn.
We ordered two adult pizzas. One was just okay, but the other had an excessive amount of cheese — so much that it was difficult to eat and we had to scrape some off.
The table next to us also appeared to be having issues, including being served the wrong food.
When we asked for the check and to-go boxes, the boxes we were given were very small — not even large enough to fit the pizza slices. The neighboring table actually laughed when they saw it. To top it off, our table was sticky the entire time.
Overall, this was a frustrating experience, especially after intentionally choosing to support this business. Sadly, I won’t be returning, and based on what we experienced, I’m not convinced the loss of revenue is due only to weather and construction.
