I wish this wasn’t the case, but today was my last visit. My family and I have been here several times over the last 6 months or so and unfortunately each time the service has gotten progressively worse. The staff is friendly but not attentive at all. I came in for lunch today with my son and our waitress dropped our food and our check at the same time and never came back. I sat with an empty drink and missing part of my order for approx 15 minutes hoping she would walk by but no one came. I had to actually get up and track her down to ask for a refill and the rolls that were supposed to come with my lunch. This would be understandable if they were super busy but the restaurant was almost empty. Our food was very disappointing this trip too. Our French fries were shriveled, ice cold, and floppy. I didn’t even eat them. Even more concerning was the fact that a couple of my chicken tenders were undercooked which I didn’t notice until I had eaten most of them so now I’m praying I don’t get sick from eating here. All of this I would have mentioned to my server when she came to see how things were, but as I said she never even came back. I was excited when this place opened because we have so few choices of restaurants in Coats but unless management gets the service issue under control I don’t know how long it will stay open.

First visit, this place was great. Very friendly staff and super clean. The selection on the menu was good. The prices are fantastic! The food was very good and I was full. The breakfast menu looks outstanding and I can wait to try it. We will be back for sure!

Over all a great experience! The food was true home-style country cooking and had great flavor all around. Luckily, the owner was there while we were eating. He was a true pleasure to meet and I can see why it is such a local favorite. I will definitely recommend to friends and plan to go back in the future.

My wife and I really wanted to like this new restaurant but our first visit was very disappointing.

To start with, we were initially looked over for being seated. Once we were seated we ordered fairly quickly but they completely mixed up our order and forgot my wife’s order completely. The saving grace was the staff was polite in addressing the problem.

Once all our food did come, the food lacked in quality for what one comes to expect from a small local owned restaurant.

We will visit again in the hopes that our first visit wasn’t the norm and that our next visit will be different.

Sadly to say. My wife and I ate there yesterday. The food was edible at best. The menu was a joke and broken up into 3 sections?? Specific times and days?? Service was terrible. Many people, including staff were not wearing masks?? Saw several groups leave, because they had not been waited on for over 10 minutes and the place only had 15 people eating at the time.
In closing, I’m sure Donna would not be happy. I hope the owner wakes up and fixes these issues..

1st time there having breakfast. Nice place with a country vibe and the customer service was great! Ordered the big breakfast with fresh blueberries in the pancakes yum! The hashbrowns were cooked a little to much (was very chripsy). My friend Ordered the omelet it came with grits, they were to watery. I really liked this place and will go back! Also good prices!

The staff was nice was but the food was not up to par. The hot dog looked wilted and the chili was bad. Half the fries were fresh but the other half had been sitting a long time.
The burger was of the frozen hockey puck family. Everybody is serving them and I truly dislike this trend. There’s nothing better than a freshly made hamburger patty cooked to order on the grill. Those frozen things just don’t compare.
Oh, and the thing that really made me downgrade them was their tea. Sweet tea is a must. Can’t you at least have good tea??

Love the menu, the people and the service. This is a new restaurant and while they’re doing great, they’re working hard to get better every day. They’re listening to their customers and making changes and enhancements where it makes sense. I’ve already seen changes in their process and even their menu. I look forward to seeing more of their daily specials, especially their special seafood options. Keep up the great work guys!

First time eating here. The fried shrimp and french fries were delicious. My fiance’ really enjoyed the grilled pork chops and field peas. The not so good: coleslaw really has no flavor except a lot of mayonnaise. The mashed potatoes had hard crunchy pieces around the inside of the dish. I will definitely be back but will try other sides.
