We were told it was a must when visiting the Thousand Islands. I’m glad we did. Food was delicious. We had the shrimp tacos, haddock tacos and steak.

All our meals were amazing, I mean exceptional!! But our Waitress Taylor was over the top! She’s an amazing employee, goes above and beyond for her customers!! Thank you Taylor and 1864 team, my family and I will definitely be back! (I didn’t get a pic of all the meals we had).

I don’t normally post reviews however I am leaving this restaurant hungry as I was not able to eat. We ordered food for 5 people. Our kids food came out first. They ate, we waited another 20 minutes before we decided we would just get ours to go. Took an additional 20 minutes to get our meals. After we left and looked inside the boxes we couldn’t eat it. I ordered a salad with added chicken and dressing on the side. There was no chicken and no dressing. My husband ordered the tuna steak which also looked very sad. I wish we had time to go back and talk to a manager but we had to get going.

Visited 1864 for the first time last night and had a nice experience! Street parking was easy to get for 5:00pm in October (slow season in Alex Bay). We had no wait time and food and drinks came out pretty fast. Our server was friendly. As a first timer at this restaurant, I had reviewed the menu on their website first and was a little disappointed to see only about 1/4 of the options on their in person menu. Maybe they change seasonally and haven’t updated their website? Not sure on that. The mushroom arancini was a great appetizer, and the haddock tacos were also great. Serving size for the steak was a little sparse (small amount of the mashed potato side). Overall nice atmosphere and yummy food, just less food options than shown online and steep prices for serving sizes. We will definitely come back though!

Our server was harried, so I was a little concerned when salads appeared before our apps. We ask our server to be sure that our entrees wouldn’t be fired until we’d had our apps. She and the kitchen staff did great!

We called for reservations at the last second and they were super accommodating. The service was good. Food was decent as well. Little pricy, but it’s Abay…everything is overprice. The Jack Daniel Beef tips were tasty. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and drinks. The only dish that was not a hit with one of our members was the Chipotle Chicken bowl. The rice was really sweet and didn’t really fit the normal expectation of a Chipotle dish…..but everyone else was happy including me. We would come back again.

I don’t like to post poor reviews, but as this is a restaurant in a resort area I don’t want others to have the very unsatisfactory experience that my husband and I had. First, pay no attention to the menu online. I had found octopus there, which I love and I was looking forward to ordering it. The menu was very small, 4 entrees and 5 handheld on the menu. No octopus, no prime rib. I ended up ordering a Caesar salad with shrimp added, and my husband a prime rib sandwich. The shrimp addition was an extra $12. There were 4 of them, average size. My husband’s sandwich was to have horseradish sauce on it with au jus for dipping. Both were missing. The restaurant was 3/4 empty but it took 45 minutes for our order to arrive. I heard another couple nearby asking about their order as well because of the lengthy wait. Service was minimal. There was a VERY noisy table near us who had already finished when we arrived but loitered over drinks for most of the time we were there. The bill totalled $60. for the above mentioned food and a split of red wine.. All in all, I would highly recommend that you stay away.

We were originally told the restaurant was understaffed, and that we would experience longer wait times. Our server was attentive, and very professional. The food was the show. We were a party of 6, we all ordered differently, and we all raved about our meals. 1864 will be on our stops during our next trip up. Our server, Emily, deserves recognition. Thank you

Maria is amazing and made our dinning experience even better. She made absolutely amazing drinks for us and was on top of drinks and food. The food was amazing! You can tell its fresh and that the machines are clean. I will definitely be back thanks to Maria!
