I was given a menu from one of the campgrounds here in the local area and was intrigued by what they offered. The prices and that it is locally owned and operated are always attractive to me.
I ventured out there today and received a wonderful breakfast. I ordered a big breakfast platter, which had three eggs, bacon, French toast, hashbrowns and I ordered a side of grits. I also ordered Mike’s Country breakfast platter, that way I was able to double up on my bacon. Both of my breakfasts were cooked perfectly. It’s hard to find somebody that actually knows how to cook eggs properly. Everything about the breakfast was great and I wiped it all out.
I was talking to my wonderful server, Renee,
she mentioned Sundays all you can eat Food Bar from 11-3.
Did somebody say all you can eat? ??? I know we’re I’ll be on Sunday, especially knowing what’s going to be there and knowing that it was cooked fresh there!!
Franklin, the owner, was as pleasant as can be, and we all chatted for a while.
Jane Read’s is worth the drive from any of the areas around here. There’s plenty of seating, the restaurant is clean, the help is extremely quick and kind….. and best of all, the affordable food rocks!!
If you wanna hang out, meet me there on Sunday at 11. I’m not waiting around till it gets busy……

The staff was great. The food was wonderful. The place was clean and hhomey.the ride out there was very scenic. Can’t wait to go back again. Oh, and good desserts as well. I am hoping for chess pie next time.
