We were impressed by this little treasure we happened upon in Spearfish. It is a very cute and inviting place to grab a cocktail and have intimate conversations. The drinks were top-notch and just what we needed on a cold fall night. We will be patronizing again.

The Tucked Tie is an absolute gem in Spearfish! With its cozy speakeasy vibe, smooth jazz, and beautifully crafted cocktails, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a night out. The atmosphere is stylish and welcoming, the drinks are top-notch (the espresso martini is a must-try!), and the staff makes you feel right at home. Easily one of the best places in town — I’ll definitely be back!

We held a work event here and Tobias was great to work with from start to finish! He responded in a timely manner and was more than happy to host us! The Tucked Tie itself is a gem! From the cozy spaces to sit and hang out, to the decorations, to the amazing cocktails. I highly recommend this place for a fun spot to grabs drinks or a great place to host an event!

We’ve visited The Tucked Tie several times and enjoyed it, which made this experience surprising.
My wife and I stopped in for cocktails and ran into friends. When a few more joined us, we politely asked the owner/bartender if we could move a couple of chairs. He responded dismissively, telling us to sit elsewhere. To avoid an issue, we didn’t move anything and simply stood.
Shortly after, the owner muttered about us behind the bar and then shouted across the room for us to “please have a seat.” When asked to repeat himself, he said it was “to keep the aesthetic.” Not only was this rude, it was humiliating. Other patrons clearly noticed and were visibly uncomfortable.
If there was a concern, it could have been handled quietly and respectfully—not broadcast across the room like a reprimand. We closed our tabs and left, and we won’t be returning.
