My favorite Vietnamese deli/banh mi shop is finally operational after being burned down during/after Covid re-opened. San Jose long time residents know this is one of the Vietnamese banh mi institution. You can purchase Vietnamese banh mi (hoagie) as is on the menu. Or you can buy most fillings by the weight. My favorite is their infamous liver pate spread and grilled Pork (thit nuong).
Or take advantage of their hot food bar where you can create your own countless version of the bento boxes by pointing to the entrée you like. Or order others Vietnamese home style, various noodles soup or entrée. A great budget dinning options. Their egg rolls are very good and affordable, in their own heat lamp cabinet by the hot food bar.

My best choice for “Chao Long” and “Bun Rieu” in San Jose. Would love order to go than take a seat at the store. Vietnamese banh mi is also good.

Cheaper and tastier then Lee Sandwiches. A variety of soups available at Thanh Huong.
Limited tables available. Floors and tables can use some deep cleaning. But I’m obsessed with cleanliness.
On the counter next to the cashier, desserts are available.
My friend and I ordered number 1. It was good, that we both said, “It was better then Lee’s.” Do you want a sandwich that’s bursting with jalapeños and flavor? Their rolls I believe is better then Lee’s. We’re already planning what to order next time we come.
The second time around my friend and I didn’t have a sandwich. However, we did try their hot foods. We had beef stew, and stewed chicken, with rice. The beef was so tender and carrots wasn’t over cooked. I ate chicken too. I couldn’t tell you the name. All I can say, it was very tasty, It was enough for both of us. My to go place for quick, tasty and reasonable price.

Bought some take out food, get home, they’re smell so bad! Fishy! My dog couldn’t even eat them. Took back next day, they refused to exchange or refund. Their excuses was not able to resale again. Bad foods and bad customer service how long can they stay in business. Not recommended this place. There are many other Vietnamese sandwiches and fast foods near by are much better….

This is a family run deli and quick togo meal place. The Bun Bo Hue and other typical Vietnamese dishes are done well here. They sell french bread, Vietnamese cakes and sandwiches. You can also order reasonably priced party trays of what they sell. Cheap and good eats!

Best banh mi. The bread is soft because they don’t use the French baguettes. The pate is good; I recommend extra pate! Reasonably priced. If you plan on eating them later, ask for the veggies on the side.

Our go-to place for banh mi. Still going strong through the pandemic. I highly recommend going to this deli in the early morning, picking up one of their sandwiches (or lunch plates) to go. You’ll have a delicious and inexpensive lunch waiting for you. One tip: if you are not going to eat the sandwich right away, ask for them to separate out the ingredients from the bread. Also: the sandwiches are pretty big, so I ask them to cut them in half. If you don’t ask, they won’t do that.

One of the best banh mi in the South Bay. They recently raised the prices. Approx $5/sandwich, but fear not. The sandwiches are enormous. Literally the length of my forearm. So, still a great value. Cash only. Highly recommend the #1. They also carry other food options, but I come for the banh mi.
