We asked for the Captains Combo, which consisted of 2 fillets of catfish, 8 shrimps, 4 boudin balls, 3 hush puppies. The only good food was the catfish & shrimp everything else was nasty!

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and often recommend this restaurant to others, especially those from Louisiana, because the food has always been consistent. Unfortunately, tonight was not up to that standard.
The étouffée was watery and off in both color and texture—nothing like it usually is. My order was also wrong twice; I ordered gumbo and étouffée and received red beans and rice instead, which required me to drive back.
When I walked in, the reason was clear. Several young employees were playing around in full view of customers—swinging on doors, joking loudly, and being unprofessional. No one in leadership corrected the behavior. Another customer even asked me what my food looked like, which tells me this wasn’t just my issue.
This restaurant is known for good food and solid service. Tonight fell short on both. I’m hoping this was a one-time lapse and not the new norm.

This is my first time here but definitely won’t be my last. Customer service was great. Friendly and had recommendations. As an appetizer the fried green tomatoes. Then the French Quarter Plate which includes: 2 hush puppies, shrimp etouffee, a catfish fillet and bang bang shrimp with garlic bread. Everything came out piping HOT AND DELICIOUS! Btw…the mixed margarita was also good instead of tequila it had rum! Stop by it’s across from Willowbrook Mall!

1st timer …ordered 2 go plates and had free margaritas which were Tasty. The fish, shrimp, and crawfish were fried just the way I like!!! the fried okra and fries were ok. The boudin balls were good and the Red beans were seasoned to perfection and meaty. The cashier was really sweet…and we will be back.

We ordered the catch 22, the gator plate, red beans & rice and band bang shrimp. The shrimp had to be sent back it was literally burnt and so salty it was I eatable. Everything was so heavily salted. It was as if they were using salt as their primary seasoning. They delivered the orders all mixed up together and we had to have someone (who truly took his own sweet time) clean off a table for us to eat at. The whole meal cost $70 and it was nearly not fit to eat. It was not busy at all in the restaurant. The meal and whole experience could have been so much better if the team at each point would demonstrated a little more pride in what they were doing. Although this was just one visit, we got the impression this was standard operation. Overall, the saltiness, greasiness and over cooking of food, and a the same bitter aftertaste in everything that stood out more than anything else. The young lady taking the order was pleasant and accommodating. The date we visited was Saturday 12/27/25 around 4:00 pm.

I hate swai!!!! This is not bonafide catfish!!!! Ordered the catfish nuggets they were disgusting! The gumbo was tasteless the shrimp and sausage were cooked to death. The dirty rice container was burnt at the bottom. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog. Highly disappointed & dissatisfied! They can’t cook. And stop buying swai and give the people real catfish. This food made my stomach nauseous all night

This place has some good plates. I got the fried fish with the beans and rice, garlic bread and hush puppy. They were giving out complimentary margaritas. With a refill. So you know the fam was LIT. . The plates were a very good size and we took food home with a full tummy. The service was really good and she helped with all our orders and it went smooth. The fried catfish was . Went well with the beans and rice. The sausage it came with was cooked perfect. Cant complain about this place at all. The service was amazing. Our waiter was hella cool. Make sure you get the blazing sauce, game changer. Follow the foodie @jwardhooper22

I ordered gumbo and the catfish/jumbo shrimp combo with a side of red beans and rice. I had the fish blackened. The fish was good, as was the shrimp. The garlic bread was good, the red beans were excellent. The gumbo was ok, but I’ve had better. The place was just a bit pricy, $10 for a cup of gumbo.
