Fries had different seasoning, which was good. The hamburger was good. The only thing was I did not care for the brioche bread bun that they used. But that’s just a personal preference for me. Other than that, it was good food and fast service.

Been my favorite place to get a burger lately. Foods a little small but I still get full. Everything is very very affordable and worth the price. Also, the employees are on it. Every time I go there it takes barely a minute to get my food. Don’t know what that says about how they store the food but I wouldn’t eat at a checkars if I cared. Lots of love to this place and the staff.

Service was great, the burgers were extremely salty, nearly ocean water levels of salty. I could barely eat it. This has happened a handful of times, and Its always around 7:45 and 8pm. Im going to try and go earlier and see if that helps. I gave a burger to coworker and he had to chug a beer. The only reason he ate it at all, was because he hadn’t eaten all day.

Checkers is by far, my favorite fast food joint. The god is always chefs kiss, to me. So the food will always get 5 stars. But the atmosphere at the Nederland Checkers, is top tier. I’m new to the area and only here for work. Every time I come to Checkers, the staff never disappoints. Whomever, is training this staff, must have a training section for rapport. ps this is my request everyday!!! And my Mimi loves it as much as I do! I could eat this everyday because it is soooooo good. It is THE BEST MEAL I have had from Checkers …ever!! Everyone I was with said same thing!!! Even the pie was GLO-LICIOUS!

This was my first time here. I was stoked to try this place since moving to the area. Great graphics on the building. Sets it apart from everything else on this same stretch of Nederland Ave for sure. I only gave it 3 stars over all for now. I had told the drive thru person this was our first time here, and said we needed a minute… we ordered 3 piece chicken strip meal( fries and a medium drink). Now mind you, said, it’s our first time here… (2pm- 5pm is happy hour and they offer a handful of really good deals)… upon saying it was my first time there, no mention of the happy hour special(it was about 3:15pm or so). The drive thru person was pleasant and took our order great, but didn’t mention it. It’s no big deal, but if you’re running a special a few hours a day, and in those hours, I think it should be mentioned… sales sales sales. Next time though, I’m getting the happy hour stuff, now I know. So now for the food… great seasonings on the chicken and the French fries, Dr.Pepper was on point(even though I requested Mr. PIBB, but they let me know they no longer carry Mr. PIBB, just Dr. PEPPER) MR.PIBB still on menu… anyways.. the food, i remind you, said it was my first time there… the chicken strips were not fresh, luke warm at best, fries were not fresh, but hotter than the luke warm strips. Please, know, if they were fresh, I can see how this place would be on point for hot food and great flavor. I will try this spot again of course, I have to… the happy hour specials are great value and look good too. So, I will ABSOLUTELY hit this review again, after I do visit again, and we’ll go from there. Employees were great, and personable as well, while keeping it professional. Just a little “tightening up the ship” here and this place will be a “go to” for me and mine.

They didn’t wear gloves when preparing my food. Pretty grossed out. Not entirely sure if hands were washed. But still. I don’t want to catch a food borne illness due to incompetence.
