The pomegranate cosmo was the best cosmo I’ve ever had. Yum! We had 6oz filet mignon steaks and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Our server Jennifer was friendly and very helpful, all around a great experience. We’ll be back!

We ate here for dinner last night and it was delicious!!! The only thing they did wrong was put chives instead of cheese on my spouse’s baked potato. Everything else was perfect! The steak was so well seasoned and flavorful! I had steak fries and a Caesar salad as my sides and both were delicious! We had chocolate mousse cake for dessert which was just as amazing! Will definitely be back once we’re in town again!!!!

We were visiting and learned of the bourbon pairing dinner during a neighborhood walk. We are super happy we stopped in for this. The pairings were great and food/service was stellar. Our favorite courses were dessert and the lamb lollipops. It’s very clear a lot of effort and thought goes in to experiences at BOLO. We’d love to stop in again!

This is my second trip within a week to Bolo! In town at Orange Beach with family and always trying to find a place that is a good value. We’ve tried many of the nicer restaurants in the area and, while many have great atmosphere, few seem to have the kind of food and prices that would bring me back. Bolo does not have that problem. I love everything about this place. It is a little off the beaten track but not inconvenient. While other places have a 1-2 hour wait, Bolo you can walk right in and have a seat at your table. The atmosphere is lovely. The driftwood fish sculptures, intimate lighting and Southern architectural style of the restaurant is just perfect. So far, the wait staff has been very pleasant and informative on their food. Prices are very attractive for what you get. I simply can’t get past the 8oz Sirloin that looks and tastes much more like a high end fillet! Crunchy, well seasoned exterior and soft, tender, pink deliciousness on the inside – again, more like a fillet. I’m guessing aged beef because it is effortless to eat. Their crispy Brussels sprouts are quite tasty with just a little grind of sea salt from their table-side salt grinder. A nice selection of wine, beer and cocktails top things off nicely. I honestly can’t figure why they aren’t jam packed.

We 3 ladies decided on the recommendation of a friend to try this restaurant. Walking in the atmosphere was serene and a treat for the eyes.. soft lighting with plenty of full length windows and the art was a treat for the eyes.. Gabe was our knowledgeable and upbeat server. He answered all our questions about drinks and food. When our drinks arrived we were all pleased, my red wine, chosen from a lone list of choices was excellent and a very nice pour! The brown sugar old fashioned was perfect .. no draft beer but plenty of selection for craft and domestic beers was available. Then our meals came.. wow!! The special; rainbow trout with spaetzl and mushrooms, prime rib poorboy and fries and filet with crispy Brussels spouts .. We ate every bite!! Finally we ordered the in house made triple chocolate torte and shared it we all said it was one of the best desserts ever!!!
So go!! They have a bar that anybody would love to go to watch the game and 3 separate dining areas plus plenty of parking!

I stopped here while on vacation with my family. We accidentally entered through the back door, and that clearly annoyed the bartender. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but it took her a while to even let us know. The hostess at the front of the restaurant was much nicer and understanding.
The filet mignon I ordered was good as well as the potato and Brussel sprouts.
A piece of my mother’s chicken was raw in the middle, the seafood mac and cheese was too salty, and the only mustard they had to offer my husband for his burger was outdated packs of mustard that was clumped up and brown.
My daughter did love the chicken that came with the kids meal, but wasn’t fond of the homemade chips.
I’m not one for leaving negative reviews, but Bolos definitely didn’t feel welcoming, and the food was average at best.
There should be a note at the back door letting tourist and out of towners know this isn’t the entrance. The people sitting out by the picnic tables in the back definitely made it seem like people were in the front of the restaurant waiting to be seated.

As a local was excited to finally try this place as we are big fans of OSO however were very disappointed and our sentiment echos other recent reviews in the last few months. Steaks undercooked which seems to be a common theme. Green beans no flavor. Side dishes bland. Felt very much like an Outback Steakhouse experience and not the premium food we were paying for.
No issues with service. Restaurant atmosphere itself was nice.

Had a wonderful time! Steak was the best part and it was cooked well.

Let me say first off the food here is EXCELLENT. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and super tender (although a tad underseasoned), and the apps and sides were really delish! Our dirty martinis were fantastic, and they hand-stuffed the blue cheese olives!
I would have loved to have given it 5*s. We are locals who love to support small businesses. We also love their sister restaurant OSO. However, the service here last night was disappointing. There literally were just two other tables seated in the entire dining room when we got there. We were never told the special(didn’t even know they had one until we overheard another table) or the catch of the day(same), received our cocktails after the apps even though they were ordered before, part of the app plates sat on the table until our meal was brought, was not given bread service(again, didnt know they even had it until another table was brought theirs and we were practically done with our meal), and then basically ignored after a larger group (5 people) were seated (still only 5 or 6 tables seated and another server working as well). No offer of coffee or dessert, and we had to ask for the check. Maybe something was going on we didn’t know about, but this is not the kind of service I would have expected given the atmosphere and menu and was quite disappointed. Especially after how much the bill was…

I’ve been here twice. On the first occasion I got the rock lobster special and the second occasion I got the steak.
The rock lobster was phenomenal. I couldn’t say enough good things about it. The steak was also very good.
The only negative is the Brie appetizer is NOT good and should be taken off the menu, or the sauce on top should be changed. You can see it in the picture with the rock lobster, barely eaten.
The restaurant should look into making the rock lobster a more frequent menu item.
