The price is right. The soup is good. The meatballs are tasty. The noodles are good too. This pho restaurant should have be a 4 stars but it fails in two things. First, the bowls are not clean. There are visible dirt on them. Second, the waitress has a bad attitude. I greeted her but got no response, no smile face, just a menu.

***DISCLAIMER*** This isn’t a bias review… Pho City is my favorite Vietnamese soup spot! So far … It seems the more I try to find different Pho places to add to my roster, the more it makes me want to claim Pho City as “the spot”. I usually order a small bowl (because that’s more than enough for me ), beef is usually my protein of choice, gotta have the sprouts, hint of lime, sriracha, and hoisin sauce (PERFECT). Other places seem to lack something that just doesn’t complete my experience, such as the price, quality, not enough meat, not enough noodles, not enough sprouts and the small bowls should be called smaller. Pho City doesn’t disappoint in any category and it has bubble tea. I’m always stuffed, they give you more than enough sprouts and the fried spring rolls are . It’s not a super hole in the wall but it has a fish tank with big gold fishes and a calming decor. If your into Pho you’re going to want to try here.

I ordered Summer Rolls. They do not make them with pork and Thai Basil. They only put half of a shrimp, a little bit of lettuce and tons of noodles. I told the waitress and when she told the cook/owner he laughed. Not the real Vietnamese Summer Rolls. Terrible!

this place used to be good, never was great. Recently went inside and ordered for sit down. Chicken Pho was decent, average, but prices have increased and portions have gone down. If this was my only complaint I would have given three stars, but the waitress was bordering on RUDE, on top of it being a challenge communicating with her when speaking very clear English. Sorry but after several visits I will not be returning here.

My favorite pho place in all of Montgomery and Frederick county. My favorite is the chicken pho, have been going here for over 10 years and I love it. The staff is respectful not like overly friendly but I like my pho place to be relaxed . Overall I have never had a bad experience here. I always get pho here when I’m sick and it always always hits the spot.
I moved to Frederick and drive all the way here for pho.

I love this place! I drive 40 minutes to get there because their seafood pho is AMAZING! The seafood tastes fresh, the shrimp are always tender, and the broth is flavorful. Fast service too!

This is a place we go to often because it is close to my house. We won’t be coming back due to the nastiness and rudeness we experienced consistently from a waiter named “Hoa”.
The last straw was on July 6, 2018. We went there with our grandson(1.5yrs baby)and my wife asked for a high chair. He just pointed to where the chair was and didn’t offer at all to bring it over, so my wife brought the high chair to our table. Then he came over after NOT helping us in the first place and told us this is not the way to set the high chair and then fixed it rudely. His attitude was so nasty and off-putting.
Secondly when we ordered our pho, we ordered one with cilantro and one without cilantro and tripe. He was confused with this simple order and instead of trying to resolve any confusion, he kept rolling his eyes in front of us and spoke to us with a harsh voice. Then to make matters worse, he tried to rudely grab the menus out of our hands even before we finished ordering.
Looking at other reviews on here and Yelp, it seems like a lot of other people have complaints about the same waiter (the one that doesn’t wear glasses). If this restaurant wants to stay in business, it would be wise to retrain or just fire this rude waiter as he is making you lose potential loyal customers. We won’t be back thanks to him.
