Quaint little mom and pop Mexican place in this quaint little town.

I simply can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. There are multiple Mexican restaurants in the area, but the food at Don Jose’s is by far the best. The wonderful family that owns it has treated us like family since day one. Emily and Nina are two of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. If you find yourself in the area, stop in and enjoy some wonderful food and wonderful people; you won’t regret it!

I came in after seeing a post on facebook of Don Jose’s Grand opening and figured why not try it out? Let me tell you, I’m so happy I did. Me and my roommate were welcomed in and seated immediately, had our drink orders taken and we both ordered Margaritas, some options had chamoy and Tajin rims (if you haven’t had that before, definitely try it out) but the drinks we were set on didn’t come with it. So I asked and our waitress (I believe she said her name was Andrea?) and she informed us we could add it to any of the drinks. they were great. then it came to ordering our food and we asked our waitress what she would recommend, she pointed my roommate to a burrito and me to the Chez platter. my roommate was raving about his order and I can easily say the same for myself, I think the look of the dishes speaks for themselves. Overall, fantastic experience and i think i have found my new go-to for a Mexican restaurant!

We have personally known one of the owners for over 10 years (Erica). Great, flavorful mexican food. Hands down, the best street corn anywhere! Portions are plentiful and the wait staff is great (mostly all family). We drive over 30 minutes and pass several mexican restaurants to eat here, but it is always worth it!

My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner and we were blown away! Absolutely fantastic food for the price, my boyfriend got a combination with an enchilada and burrito and I got the potato taquitos. The food was so fresh, and it also seemed like they had more vegetarian options available than most restaurants which was very nice. Our waitress was also so sweet and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back!

I spent $25 I got two tongue tacos one quesadilla and one burrito. The burrito was really really small The tacos were normal size and the quesadilla was small. If you buy food here prepared to get ripped off.
