Located in Branford, CT, Nonna Gina’s Prepared Foods & Gelateria offers authentic, fresh, homemade Italian food prepared onsite. Our lunch bar is open Monday – Saturday and comes fully stocked with paninis, pizzas, salads, and soups. We have a prepared foods section filled with single serving and family sized portions that you can take home and a small market where you can find the best pastas and Italian goods around! Nonna Gina’s also boasts a full gelateria bar filled with 24 flavors of locally made Gelato Giuliana, specialty gelato desserts, and gelato cakes! And while we’re not offering catering just yet, it’s coming very soon! We can’t wait to see you at Nonna Gina’s!

I love stopping by Nonna Gina’s to grab a quick lunch or dinner. They have a wide selection of different dishes, including soups, sandwiches, salads, appetizer options and meals. They also have pasta, different police oils and family size meals.
The staff is always friendly and accommodating when I go. It’s a great option for when you need a quick meal and don’t want to cook!

Have tried twice since moving back east. This place LOVES dry bread have pre made sandwiches. Got the chicken parm sub, breaded chicken on very thick dense dry bread, Mozz, and so little sauce I was dying for water and a bowl of marinar to dunk it in. Go for a little more balance guys. The food is really good! The atmosphere is also really great:) I pick up a lot of prepared food here and even order some hot lunch items too! Portions are good, too. They have great gelato selection 🙂 I highly recommend!

I literally just had a chicken cutlet with eggplant and pesto. All I have to say is Finally we get some real Italian food around here. Outstanding flavor that just melts in your mouth with every savory bite. Delicious!!! Sorprendente!!!!Thank you to the young lady for the recommendation! I definitely will be back. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. The sandwiches were delicious and the gelato was amazing. The store is also packed with Italian imported goods, some of which we’ve missed and haven’t had since we’ve been to Italy. It was a joy to be able to have the lemon soda we miss! We will definitely be back!
