I’ve driven by this place, it’s always hard to tell if it’s open. I noticed that the restaurant is up for sale. I’ve looked at the menu, nothing really interested me. The reviews are great. I decided to give it a try.

When I arrived I was warmly greeted and allowed to choose my table.

I started with the combo plate: 2 cream cheese filled wontons, 1 egg roll, 5 deep fried chicken, and 2 deep fried shrimp. The wontons were too hard. Everything else very good.

Main entree, Sweet and sour combo, chicken, shrimp, and pork, with pineapple, tomato, and pepper.

Egg roll and soup came with the entree, I had the egg drop soup.

Food tasted good, but not extraordinary. The food is like home style Chinese food.

I noticed the person who greeted me, had a great relationship with people who came in. She informed people that it was Fish Day in Port Washington.

The staff had family style dinner while I was eating. That really impressed me. Simple homemade food, simple family people.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

discusting horrible chinese restaurant place there is, The food is not what your use to, everything looks & taste’s like garbage,
The rice looks like old rice not even cooked right. The noodles aren’t good, crab Rangoon is nasty, egg rolls suck, chicken &cashue yukkie, the sweet & sour chicken is ok but the sauce is looking like duck sause!!
You been warned!

Lam’s has the best spring rolls I’ve ever had in my life! They were fried perfectly and the seasonings and texture were fabulous. However, I was not as impressed with the other menu options. We were served warmed flour tortillas called ‘pancakes’. But the service was awesome and extremely friendly. I would go back and try another meal which didn’t include ‘pancakes’.

This wonderful restaurant is owned by a friend of my Mother who always remembers her at every visit! This sentimental connection forever makes Lam’s a special place to eat or buy carry-out as it’s my Mom’s favorite choice. I like this dining spot as well, and my own spicy recommendation would be the Hunan beef, if that helps anyone. Thanks for reading!

Tiny and homely little place that offers a wide selection of Chinese-American dishes.

Came in expecting something that was just okay, but was blown away by the quality. All of the food was freshly made and very good. Almost astoundingly good as our group of 9 ceased our borderline raucous conversation and ate in stunned silence.

Our large party meant I got to try a wide cross-section of the menu and it was all incredible.

The owners were also very friendly and chatty and it was a joy to be there.

All in all, a real hidden gem that is worth a revisit.

My husband and I ordered pork fried rice, orange chicken, and hot and sour soup for takeout. Everything was ready quickly and it was nice and hot, and the service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, everything was also extremely bland. The soup had little meat and no tofu, the orange chicken tasted only of orange and chicken with no spices (extra salt sort of helped, but not much), and the fried rice was just all one flavor and smelled like fresh baked bread for some reason. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing was good, either. Maybe Tuesdays aren’t their best night, but even with the low prices I don’t think it’s worth my time to go back.

Went here for my Godson’s birthday dinner. It was his choice of restaurants and was a bit of a drive for me. That said, I was extremely impressed with the generous seating area, the extensive menu, the friendly service and the food. I had an egg roll which was a generous size, followed by a cup of Hot & Sour soup which was excellent and, finally, my entree which was Spicy Garlic Pork. My entree was huge and extremely flavorful. All-in-all a wonderful dining experience.

We use to always get takeout from here and it was pretty good. The last two times not so much. Tonight is the last time we will go there. I got sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was so tough I could not cut it with a fork. It was even difficult to cut with a knife. I would not recommend at all.
