For the celiac / gluten community – despite their marketing and advertising to be safe for those with allergies if you read the fine print they actually DONT recommend eating at their establishment if you have allergies.
How misleading can a company get?
I can’t even begin to express the disappointment.
On top of that for delivery orders you can’t add notes, you can’t contact the store & you’ll be lucky if your delivery driver calls you back. If you try to cancel your order right away there’s a notice that you most likely won’t get your refund.
On top of that you’re lucky if you get your full order. My portions could’ve been better and what they gave me for my dressing (olive oil) was a joke. It filled less than half the cup.
I would like to note I did get a decent response time from the customer service team via email but there shouldn’t be an opportunity for the consumer to feel left in the dark or without options. I would also like to note they issued a refund after I requested it and am waiting for that to go through.

This was the worst sweetgreens location I’ve ever been to. The food bar was mostly empty and only had dried old looking food left. The staff was completely slow and incompetent. The guys serving my bowl was high out of his mind and had me repeat things multiple times and had trouble reading. The manager was even more rude, and instead of apologizing, she told us to just be patient and calm down (though we were completely calm).
Took pictures so y’all can avoid this location and staff. The food was absolutely disgusting. Not worth the $30 we spent at all. We threw it all out not even halfway.

I’ve never been to a Sweet Green before! Honestly, I avoid chains and thought SG was overhyped. But I’m totally sold on the Montclair location. I wanted a healthy dinner after a workout class and my partner and I wandered in. Kelly, the chef, welcomed us. The staff was so chill and relaxed. No pressure, no high energy as I checked out the menu. Chef Kelly helped me build my bowl and told me all about the ingredients. Honestly, I had fun ☺️. Anyway, I’ll be back. To this location. For the food, yeah, but for the vibe. This may be a chain, but it feels like your local cafe.

it’s such a shame that i have to do this! i ordered a bowl from uber eats & it was actually good until i noticed a bug infestation in between a piece of kale. not one bug, but multiple! DEAD AND ALIVE. this is completely unacceptable and disgusting. WILL BE REPORTING TO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ANYWHERE ELSE I CAN!

So I decided to try this place for the first time… I was utterly disappointed :’).
First, I ordered the Chicken Avocado Ranch but they left out the avocados… erm why? Second, the amount of chicken provided (or lack-thereof) was laughable. Check out the image & make your own conclusion… does that look like a Chicken Avocado Ranch bowl? Third, their “Green Goddess Ranch” tastes like pickles ranch dressing 🙁 just so you’re aware. Lastly, this isn’t that big of a deal but worth noting, I accepted their free bread that was offered & they left it out. Idk idk just too many cons here. In the end, I added my own lemon garlic dressing & just ate the lettuce, chicken, tortilla chips & little bit of rice provided… I waited until I was no longer hangry to make this review. It’s valid. Won’t order here again unless in a DIRE situation where I really just can’t eat anything else.

I’ve had severe food allergies my whole life and this was my first time at sweetgreen. Employee Surayyah was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about what was in each option. She was also patient while I referenced the online allergen info. Thank you Surayyah for your help and making me feel safe to try a bowl!

What kind of bowl can have only this much rice and chicken? Not worth $15 for this sad portion. And the worker named Diana or something like that was not welcoming at all. I think she discriminates among people. While she was smiling and being nice to everyone, showing an attitude towards me. I’m not coming again for sure.

The location and ambience here is excellent. While the girl was checking me out another customer came up behind me and was complaining about his salad. I overheard him say it’s something he gets all the time, but the meat this time seemed old. I was only half listening, but when I got home the chicken in my salad (Harvest Bowl) was hard and almost fossilized. I threw all of it away. I’m not saying I won’t try it again, but it’s pricey and it won’t be anytime soon.

We were looking forward to the Montclair Sweet Greens opening because we are generally a fan of the franchise. We usually wait for a few weeks before trying a new restaurant to give them time to work the Kinks out. Unfortunately our first order from the Monclair sweet greens was mediocre at best. We ordered a create your own salad and when we brought it home we noticed that the salad bowl was about 60% full and the small container of dressing was less than half full. Nothing compared to what we usually get when we order salads from other locations or other restaurants. Hopefully our order was an anomaly and not the way they will be doing business going forward since there are so many alternatives in Montclair. We will give them another try at some point in the future and hopefully with a better outcome.
