This is an OG mala hot pot restaurant in San Gabriel. The place is dated but the food is ok. The meats are good and the veggies are very fresh tasting. Overall, a good experience.

Was looking for a hotpot that stays open late near DTLA and this place really surprised me. The spicy broth was full of flavor. Prices were reasonable not cheap not expensive. Fully satisfied will be back again. Only thing I will say …It states they closes at Midnight but last call was at 11 so just put closes at 11.
Been back so often since my initial visit. So so good.

Came here after reading some reviews, but did not enjoyed as much as reviews. Meat was very thinly sliced, which kinds shreds upon dipping into the hotpot. Tables in the front patio area is allowed to smoke, so prbly not for a family to visit.

Called if they serve draft beer, answer is yes. Only found out tap beer “Sapporo” sour like old fashion. Nothing taste like Sapporo. Out of surprise, they still severing next table!!! I asked for the taste, they comment” it’s sour, but it’s the only tap they have”. I had to switch to bottle beer. But do not order draft beer anymore here.
The severing size is minimum, better go across street wu Ming hot pot or nice to meet you.

My family and I have been eating here since it opened 14 years ago. One of our favorite restaurants in LA and drive 20 miles inland from the beach, it’s that good. Not likely to find many Caucasian people here. The different herbs and spices keep us coming back for more. The Fresh Tofu Curd is top notch. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

Found this gem because of how late they are open. This other hotpot that I love closes at 10pm so we found this one & omg the broth is so good! We have came back about 4 more times now. Every time the service is amazing! They constantly come to check in on you & always recommended different options. It is kind of pricey tho, for two people we usually spend about $80-$100
