Delicious orange juice, terrific coffee, amazing pancakes with LOTS of peach filling, sausage flavorful. Huge menu, like 6 choices of seafood broiled and 6 choices of seafood fried. Perfect for breakfast , lunch, or dinner. Nice, well trained staff!! Wished we lived nearby

My son brought me here today, and I was really impressed! Wide variety, huge portions, excellent service and great prices. He had breakfast for dinner and I ordered the crab cakes. I was only able to eat half and am grateful for the leftovers I’ll have tomorrow for lunch. Very nice little diner!

I just had a wonderful dinner experience at the Hampden Diner. Our server was courteous and professional, the menu had great variety, including all day breakfast, and the food was very comforting. The home fries, in particular, were the best I’ve had in recent memory. For these reasons, I highly recommend the Hampden Diner. Come for the welcoming environment, and come back for the home fries 🙂

I used to come here often when they first opened and it was great! They raised their prices and unfortunately food and the food went downhill with it. My food has been incorrect or not prepared accurately the last few times I’ve come in. I’m finally writing a review because I understand that there are always “off days” but 4 in a row is a bit much. The previous time I came in my husband ordered an eggs benedict, the sauce was broken so he asked for a new one. They just gave him the same broken sauce. He pushed it away and sat while we ate, I shared my food with him then when paying the bill a gentleman started arguing with him as to how he should have said something. He said I did and I am not wasting time making a scene. I’ll just pay and leave. This last time I came in I ordered steak (medium rare) and eggs (over medium) my steak was well done and eggs were super runny. The server did not come back to check on us until my party was finished eating so I ended up eating what I had. In fact I asked for a small box since my party had finished eating and was continuously ignored/forgotten by the server. The rest of my party left and I ended up going to the host stand to pay and informed them of all of this and the fact that my bill was incorrect. All I got was an I’m sorry and your total is $$…If a customer has an issue I feel like it should be addressed and resolved, never argued with. Not good, won’t be back.

I recently visited Hampden Diner for breakfast and ordered the following dishes:
Country Fried Steak and Eggs
Eggs Benedict
Country Fries
The Country Fried Steak was served hot and well-prepared, but the eggs (ordered over easy) were unfortunately undercooked.
The Eggs Benedict was disappointing, as it featured hard-boiled eggs and a broken Hollandaise sauce, which significantly impacted the dish’s quality.
On a positive note, the waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful, enhancing the overall dining experience despite the food-related issues.

Updating review. We stopped coming but then they made great changes and food tastes great! Marinated chicken, pancakes, scrapple egg and cheese, and beef vegetable soup is why we come literally every week!
Wish they had tater tots

The staff and service here has always been great.
Food is normally quite good. The perfection happens when for some reason it’s off a little, the staff will help you make it right!

Service was a little slow. Would be ok with that if it didn’t taste bad. A small gnat crawled off my plate at first, ok no big deal I can get past that. The fries were awful, not double fried diner fries, they use zero salt on fries or hash browns. I got a turkey club, they use cheap deli meat not turkey breast. My wife got eggs Benedict, the sauce was gloopy and flavorless. The ham was whitish and flavorless. They charge ala carte for a tiny plate of gross fries. The Cole slaw tasted old and inedible. The owner was friendly and greeting patrons. That part was cool. The food and prices are terrible and I can’t honestly ever go back or recommend this place. I wrote this review while being held hostage while their cash register updated. “Sorry we can’t do anything while the system is updating”. I found something to do.

Went here for the 1st time with a friend. Upon entering, I said 2 to the hostess, which stood there, no smile whatsoever, no greeting, basically nothing. He picked up 2 menus and just started walking. I assumed we were to follow so we did. He took us to our table, which was clean, but the booths hwas covered in crumbs, never said 1 word. Pictured is what we ordered. Mozzarella sticks were basic, no fancy, but they were hot and had a cheese pull. French toast and homefries were ok. Bacon wasn’t cooked enough. Coffee wasn’t hot enough. My friend got the country fried steak, he said it was ok. I noticed the gravy was really thick. Not exactly sure why they didn’t pull up the disgusting carpet in the upper part of the dining room. I mean it looks to have 20 years of dirt in it, it’s really nasty. That couldn’t have been worth saving the couple dollars that I’m sure they were trying to save when converting this Applebee’s to this diner. Our server Megan was really friendly, nice and attentive. Overall all wouldn’t return…
