The River House is a small yet powerful non-profit that celebrates and promotes arts and music. Tucked away alongside the Cacapon River in Capon Bridge, WV, our little orange house welcomes you with the smell of coffee, lattes and pastries in a space filled with the sounds of Old Time Music, and inspiring artisan wares for purchase. Be entertained by national and international performers, as well as homegrown celebrities at our concerts. Visit several times a month for clubs and Friday Night family events including Trivia, Old Time Jams, and Open Mic. Discover hidden talents through our workshops, artist and musician talks, and youth classes. We invite you to experience The River House and get involved by volunteering & donating!

I recently visited the River House Café in Capon Bridge, WV, and had an amazing experience! The café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a menu full of delicious, locally sourced dishes. A standout part of our visit was our server, Jess, who was incredibly attentive and friendly. She truly is an asset to the team, and her excellent service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

This place is so adorable and awesome! My friends and I are from Maryland and Delaware, and we were staying in a cabin in Delray for the weekend. We spent the day in Capon Bridge, and we stumbled across this wonderful coffee shop. They so happened to be having an artisan fair while we were there, and everything was perfect! The whole deck and side yard was full of local artists and crafters selling their items. The coffee shop has a delicious selection of drinks and breakfast/ pastry items. The decor and atmosphere was awesome, and the staff was very helpful and kind! I’m such a sucker for local art, so I was in handcraft heaven! Lol. Even the coffee shop itself sells local art, and I bought myself a crochet hedgehog I’m so glad this town has this coffee shop! I hope to be able to visit again someday 🙂

Wonderful views, friendly staff, and a delicious (albeit expensive) grilled cheese. The back seating area is full of cool spots and play areas for the kids. The river access is amazing!

This is a gem! Service was outstanding, employees were super friendly, atmosphere was so cute and there was a variety of seating. It seems they always have some things going on for all ages, and most are free. The dandelion chai was great, the lemon cookie was good, and the chicken salad croissant was delicious. If I were a local, this would be my spot!
