They have a great selection of beer if that’s your thing, and plenty of choice of BBQ’d meats and sides. We both settled on Memphis style ribs (which are way meatier than baby back), with cornbread, sweet potato fries, baked beans and coleslaw. All the food was fantastic, I can’t pick fault with any of the dishes. The BBQ sauce in particular was delicious, and it was the finest cornbread I’ve eaten. Price wasn’t too bad either running about $24 for a full rack of ribs with sides.
I only wish they played Blues music…since it’s in the name. But I’ll still be going back.
It’s not expensive, but not cheap either.
Good experience overall, I’d come back, but I’ll try new places for BBQ before.
I would recommend this place and I would come back.
Other things I observed was my friends ordering the beef ribs and its humongous….they seemed to be loving it and I know my dog is loving the leftover bone 🙂
Everything else I’ve ever tried here had been exceptional. Ribs fall off the bone and practically dissolve in your mouth. Their pork and beans get the job done with just a little bit of spice.
Didn’t know they had happy hour every weekday from 4-7 until yesterday. I’ll be making the trip to baby blues a lot more frequently now.
Texas beef ribs (IMHO, the “Hoedown” totally rocks it), the Memphis or babyback ribs slathered in your choice of homemade bbq sauce (the best one is the “XXX”), juicy pulled pork doused with their in-house hot pepper infused vinegar, plump grilled shrimp on jalapeno cornbread, sauteed or fried okra, decadent mac and cheese, heavenly mashed potatoes, cotija cheese-laden grilled corn….you simply cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. And the service is efficient and friendly and the drinks and beer selection are stellar too. Don’t miss happy hour or brunch as you can get the best deals too. It is consistently one of my favorite places in LA to eat….whether on a casual afternoon for brunch or a festive birthday celebration. This is one definitely not to miss…totally crave-worthy specialties!!!
