Came around 3pm on a Sunday and the place was empty. Found it a bit difficult to get attention of our server as they were busy watching tv. We started with the calamari which was fresh, crunchy, and delicious. Then ordered 2 burgers and a Mahi sandwich. The burgers buns were burnt on the sides and the meat was definitely cooked a bit longer than medium which is what was ordered. However, I would recommend ordering the Mahi sandwich as it was very delicious and fresh. The downside of the meal were the fries because they were extremely salty. The amount of salt affected the taste of the burger/sandwich was unpleasant. I would recommend ordering the fries without salt.

We saw some negative reviews and were a bit nervous that it would be a letdown. We were pleasantly surprised! It was a rainy day, so many other restaurants had closed kitchens closed — but not Castaway! Natalia, our server, was very laid back and friendly with us. Our food came out SO fast. The steak sandwich was incredible, and the shrimp tacos (though spicy) were delectable. Would recommend.

I hosted a party at Castaway and it greatly exceeded my expectations! The food was so delicious. We had a party of about 20 women and with such a large amount of food I was impressed with how amazing everything tasted. The portions were large and we were so stuffed. Everyone had such an amazing time and we sang and danced as the DJ was playing during our dinner. They even made us personalized menus. I highly recommend having dinner here. Jon is amazing! Our waiter Justin didn’t skip a beat and made sure we were all taken care of and happy. Thank you Castaway for such an incredible experience!

Calamari was like rubber bands and the batter was falling off. The mussels were undercooked and sitting in some gray-green pond water that was supposed to be a broth.
The calamari I sent away; the mussels found their own emergency exit (Castaway, you owe me for the mussels I paid for and a new pair of underwear!) Teach your staff how to cook seafood before you really hurt someone.

Food was super dry. Grandparents couldnt eat what they had ordered. This tropical buddah bowl was extremely dry. Shrimp was tasteless. A waste of $22. Waiter was alright. Only spoke with us when we got upset.

lovely setting, professional/courteous service, food portion was ridiculously small. two shrimp tacos ($17)included 2 small shrimp each, a tasty sauce but didn’t include fries or slaw. fountain drinks were $3.50 each! if not for the fries from my daughter’s chicken fingers I’d still be hungry. I’m sure I’ll be hungry in 2 hours.

Very cute porch area and friendly service. One of the very few restaurants that allows dogs on the porch. They still had their happy hour oyster deal advertised, which is what drew me in, but they said it was no longer available for the season. It should be removed from the board. I ordered a dozen oysters anyway, and not only were they stuck to the shell still, but they were the worst tasting oysters I’ve ever had. I couldn’t eat more than 3, as I worried they were off. I was also given the wrong beer order.
