Overall, a fantastic dining experience! Although just newly opened, Lielle has the potential to be a Michelin star establishment in the next cycle so I highly recommend getting in before they get big! The quality of ingredients and flavor combinations were fantastic and created well balanced dishes. I appreciated the technique behind the squab and abalone preparation, but the artichoke in the first course and the chewy beet in the third course was just next level chef wizardry.
Service was wonderful and accomodating. I really appreciate when the whole staff is knowledgable and excited about the dishes they put out. I could feel their passion about their food. Bruce Lee gave us amazing service and it was a huge honor and delight to have Chef Jernmark spend time at our table and serve us as well.
Restaurant is beautiful, elegant, warm, and romantic. The space is very inviting and you can tell every detail was handpicked and well thought out. The only thing I would point out is the music is a little too loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with friends seated across the table and also hard to hear the descriptions of the dishes being presented.

We were really excited to try Lielle given powerhouse Marcus Jernmark being a part of it and we were not disappointed. I am surprised to hear the restaurant just opened on February 12. We went on February 27 and the entire restaurant was running like a well-oiled machine. We were not offered any of the supplemental pastas others have discussed in their reviews, but they probably ran out before our 8:30pm reservation time. Along w the tasting menu, we went w a bottle of Hungarian orange wine that was lovely, and finished the meal w their 20-year tawny port and cognac. Each dish was uncompromising and purposeful. Some highlights, to me, were all the breads offered, from the small loaf w the amuse bouche to the croutons accompanying the radicchio in the squab course, to whatever that magic was w dessert that you cut w scissors. The texture of the chewy beet was unforgettable, indeed, that squab dish was legendary. We were honored to have Chef Marcus present a couple dishes to us himself; in fact, by the time we ended the meal at around 10:30pm, he was still making the rounds to each table. I found that to be incredibly endearing and spoke volumes re the pride he has to deliver any dish he can himself and to be available for any questions. The restaurant itself is breathtaking w such meticulous detail shown in every decision from the color of the walls to the unique stemware. I would be remiss if I did not also mention our special server, Bruce Lee, and his contribution to an unforgettable night. He has a special knack for making you feel like you’re the only ones in the dining room. He is disarming, kind, knowledgeable, and very good at his job. While $150/pp for a four-course tasting menu is somewhat reasonable compared to other tastings of this caliber, the bill does add up… but for the best meal I’ve had in the nearly 9 years I’ve lived in LA, I count myself lucky to have witnessed and partook in an experience that is deserving of at least one Michelin star, likely two, and won’t have any empty tables for years to come once word gets out.

Parking:
Plenty of street parking in LA, both metered and free, right near the restaurant.
There’s also a $15 valet right out front.

Ambience:
I love the vibe inside! It’s dimly lit with lots of candles and perfect lighting for photos.
The American playlist is fun, but it could be a bit better—just a small note!

Food:
For $150, we got four courses, which is a great deal for the quality. The plating was beautiful, and everything tasted amazing!
We added a couple of extra dishes from the menu: the uni & scampi pasta and another pasta I can’t remember the name of, but both were fantastic!
We also tried some local California cheeses, which were super interesting—not your typical cheeses, definitely on the funky side, but worth a try!

Service:
Our server Kimian, sommelier Philip, and Cher Marcus were all friendly and gave us great service.
We made a last-minute reservation about an hour before we arrived at 5:30 PM, and check-in was smooth. They were really attentive all night.

Overall:
My friends and I are definitely coming back!
This is now my favorite restaurant in West LA!

I had an incredible experience at Lielle.☺️ ✨

Chef Marcus’s cuisine was truly beautiful, elegant, and thoughtful. While enjoying the dishes, it actually reminded me of a mathematical equation. Each ingredient felt carefully added, reduced, or perfectly balanced, and when everything came together, the result was a flavor I could never have imagined.☺️ ✨

When all the elements met on the palate, it created a moment of real surprise and impact. Every dish felt precise, refined, and deeply intentional.☺️ ✨

The service was also outstanding — warm, attentive, and truly at a Michelin three-star level. The entire experience felt polished, welcoming, and genuine at the same time.

This is a restaurant where you can truly feel passion, precision, and artistry in every detail.

I was so impressed that I’ve already made another reservation and will be bringing friends to share this experience.

Grateful to have such a special restaurant in the area, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Highly recommended.

To be fair, this review is about the chaotic booking system, not the food.

As enthusiasts of Nordic cuisine, we were excited to try this new restaurant. Since reservations were impossible to get due to the hype, we decided to walk in right when they opened. Their Resy page clearly mentioned that the walk in bar was available without reservation (see photo).

We showed up on a rainy Tuesday after driving more than an hour from SGV, only to have the receptionist, Lucas, tell us they were not ready to serve customers at the bar and maybe would be in a few weeks. My question is simple. If you are not ready, why mislead people?

I politely asked Lucas if, since we were already there, he could help us book a future reservation. He said the system would not allow him to do so. He kept saying sorry and suggested we email the restaurant and mention his name. If he truly cared and wanted to help, he could have at least written down our names and phone number. Of course, he did not.

Another issue is their so called waitlist on Resy, which appears to be misleading as well. I joined the waitlist at 6:10pm, and at 8:49pm received a notification that a table was ready. However, Lucas told us they only have two seatings, at 5:30pm and 8pm. So how is it possible that a table suddenly became available at 8:49pm? (see photo)

LA diners love trying new restaurants, but how many actually last more than one or two years? I am sure Lielle has delicious food, but a restaurant with a chaotic system and inattentive front desk puts its own future at risk.

I hope this review serves as a wake up call, especially considering what happened to the previous two restaurants in the same location. Thanks so much for your time reading this review.
