Love the food taste & service. Satisfied with their steam chicken, pork belly & duck rice. Unfortunately the dining space is small, we didn’t get the ambience to feel comfortable and have enough time to stay and try other menus.. though their menu looks tempted.. probably better having to-go order next time.

Hands down the best dim sum and possibly Cantonese food in the Salt Lake area. No other places come close within this food category. The place is family run with a very limited capacity, so it’s probably wise to call before going.

Very authentic Chinese food. The restaurant is small so I suggest calling ahead. Clay pot rice is a must but needs to call ahead as it takes up to an hour to prepare.
It’s not on the cheapest side of Chinese food, but definitely worth it.

Authentic Chinese food is a rare find here in Utah but L& P did not disappoint. Their menu has a large selection of food and drinks. We ordered dim sum, beef flat noodles and eggplant green beans all were delicious and tasted authentic. The dim sum tasted very fresh and juicy. The strawberry green tea was very good too. Would love to come back for the bakery items.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Utah. They are Bakery Cafe but what I love the most are their foods! They don’t have many table for dining in and the selections on the menu aren’t as big as many other Chinese restaurant but we love everything we got: sweet and sour chicken, pork belly with preserved vegetables, black bean sauced fish, scallion chicken, mapo tofu, bbq pork, and roasted bbq duck. We also love the steamed buns here and Asian-style bakeries are good. Our server was super friendly. The foods took some time to cook but everything is worth the wait! They are not the cheapest Chinese restaurant but I’m willing to pay for the quality of food I get. This restaurant is comparable to Chinese restaurants in big cities. Highly highly recommend! You might want to call in advanced if you want to order bbq or dim sum because it takes them about half an hour to prepare.

Dumpling skin fell apart when I picked it up. Chicken was at room temperature while having a small candle lit up on the bottom. The ribs were okay. Very small shop.

My family and I love it here and have been coming quite often since we’ve discovered it. The dishes are flavorful, fresh, and still hot when served to us. We love that you can order duck as long as you can be patient. It’s so worth the wait on the duck! The servers are really efficient and polite.

This cute little bakery knocks you off your feet when you see the menu and try some of the dishes. It’s a bakery cafe but also dim sum and delicious Chinese dishes. Everything is so authentic and the girls up front are so knowledgeable about why the dish is good for you. The wise woman in the back cooks authentic cuisine and comes out to talk to the girls and it is so cute and impressive. The youthful spin on the store attracts customers and the experienced chef keeps them coming back.
I tried the Shanghai pork dumplings they were exquisite. I shared an order of clay pot rice with pork ribs and I was transported. it’s my new favorite shareable dish. We were informed that it took 30 minutes but it was so worth the wait and we had a drink and dim sum for appetizers. Their drinks are amazing my friend got a mango slush with mango jelly and I got a lemon black tea with passion fruit. Everything was phenomenal. The environment is so clean and cozy. I got a coffee cake on the way out. The only issue I had was the bakery prices were not clear and didn’t match but it didn’t really matter to me.
Definitely check this hidden gem out!!!! Next time I’m getting a whole roast duck for sure.

I order over the phone on Easter Sunday . I was happy they were open. The food was really good , the service was awesome , they even brought it out to my car, Super generous!

Don’t be fooled by what it looks like on the outside or the fact that this place is tiny, it makes some of the most authentic, fresh, and tasty dim sum I’ve had in the US.
You can just tell that all the dim sum are made fresh and never frozen like some of the bigger Cantonese restaurants in larger cities. Every dim sum items we ordered were fresh, plump, and juicy. I don’t think we’ve had anything that wasn’t awesome.
The only downside is because they are small, you need to manage your expectations. There’s a wait for a table, and there’s wait for the food to arrive. We’ve got there at 11:30 and was told there’s an hour long wait. We gave them our number and when somewhere else to kill time. It also took around 40 minutes for everything we ordered to arrive. It may be a dealbreaker if you need to go catch a flight, but I would say the food is worth the wait.
