We just had such a wonderful experience at Taste of Istanbul! The staff here are truly lovely and so warm, welcoming, and full of genuine care. Even though the restaurant was busy when we arrived, they seated us quickly and made sure we were comfortable right away.
The food was absolutely delicious! Rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made with love. The kindness of the staff paired with the quality of the dishes made the whole experience feel so special.
We’re already looking forward to going back!

Summary- Delicious Turkish style food and drinks. Details- We had the minced lamb kebabs with salad and rice, and lentil soup with pita bread. The fresh hot pita bread comes in a paper bag. We drank mint Ayran. The waiters were friendly. The restaurant was busy, but the food arrived quickly. Some of the two-person tables are by the toilet.

This place is located in a nice part of Reston. The restaurant is small. Was shocked that they asked if we had a reservation, specially after seeing barely anyone there and the food not being very good. We ordered their version of baba ghanoush, which tasted straight out of a can from a food distributor. There’s was nothing added on this eggplant besides a splash of oil and a sprinkle of sumac. It was terrible! Same goes with the hummus. The falafel was also straight from a food distributor’s freezer. The soup seemed familiar from when I bought a packet of ready made, just add water type of thing. It was not palatable to say the least. There was nothing added, no creativity or actual cooking going on, though we smelled a very bad scent of burnt falafels at one point during our meal. I could go on and on, but I’ve already wasted money and time. Will not be back. End of story.

Our Turkish friend said this is the most authentic Turkish food he has seen in DC. And everything was very flavorful and satisfying. Also excellent value, you can get full and have their very best dishes for $30/person. A great option for large groups. The service was amazing. I only wish they were larger and had more seats!

We went around 11 PM on a Friday night when almost everywhere was closed. The place showed as open on the map, so we decided to drive about 45 minutes, and it was absolutely worth it.
The food was amazing and tasted incredibly fresh. The customer service was just as great, very welcoming and kind. They even offered us tea and sweets, which still tasted so fresh, like it was early in the afternoon.
Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back.

It’s the only spot I know that serves Kelle Paça soup—and it’s amazing. Rich, flavorful, and incredibly comforting, it’s a rare find and done to perfection here.
Their Doner and Iskender are probably the best you can get around here. The meat is always tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked, and the portions are generous. Every bite tastes authentic, like something you’d get in Turkey.
The quality, taste, and authenticity of the food here have definitely won me over. I’ll be a regular customer for sure!

Probably the best Doner Kebab wrap I’ve ever tested, the Adana wrap are also excellent. Basak’s very friendly and helpful, you can charge your phone over here. The street parking lot is very limited, I recommend to park in the Purple garage and walk 1 minute to the restaurant. Will try different Kebab next time.

Oh my god this was the best food I had on my trip. I had the chicken and lamb kebabs. They were moist and well seasoned, the sauce was so fresh. I sat outside and enjoyed the evening. It is on a quieter street so it was nice to sit outside, there was some shade as well. The staff were so nice and friendly. They only came over when you waved so they weren’t constantly checking in which was nice. They let me and my coworker sit and hang out for quite some time without rushing us. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed the food. Once I was home I immediately worked in finding some similar recipes because I will continue to think about this meal for months.

Love, love love kelle paça – in fact, I crave for it almost every week and go to pick it up. It is amazingly healthy, collagen filled and very fulfilling. Recently, they started adding the hot red pepper dressing, which didn’t sit well with my stomach, but I was informed that I should just ask for no dressing and it won’t be placed in the soup. This is just for those with sensitive stomachs otherwise it is the most amazing location and service, and the staff is the most professional and extremely courteous. Highly recommend this place.

This restaurant was such a great find, the food and service were both wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
The only downside was that the food took quite a long time to come out. But once it did, everything tasted great.
