Talk about range, this little shoppe has it ! I love the motto “Every day should start with coffee and end with ice cream.” and this is such a cute, fun little place to do it, too. I’ve tried their seasonal lattes for a full year now, and they’ve all been great. ☕️ I’ve tried their popping boba in lemonade. Yum! And several flavors of ice cream which are such a treat. They also have sherbet if that’s more your thing. My favorite ice cream flavor so far has been raspberry Rhapsody and I hope they’re thinking about bringing it back. They have bags of coffee for sale and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try any of their coffee drinks made with death wish. They also have baked goods, including muffins in a ton of really interesting looking flavors. You should definitely go and try it out for yourself.

Friendly staff, made-to order fabulous coffee (current options Sunergos or Death Wish!), cozy seating, and play area for kids. I need to go back for the ice cream!! (Secret menu item Affogato: ice cream topped with espresso. Mmmmm!)

I love this shop. It feels small town which I love. People walk in as you’re playing board games and ask what you’re playing. Munching on delicious ice cream they strike up a conversation. It’s so welcoming and to have ice cream and coffee it offers something anyone in your family can enjoy.

Don’t like coffee? Get a milkshake. Don’t like ice cream or coffee??….. seek help.

This shop is the perfect addition to Charlestown and I hope they thrive as they deserve the success coming their way. I will keep hosting my game nights here.

This place is amazing! I love their birthday cake ice cream, especially in a shake. Very friendly, and welcome environment. Lots of space to sit, also there is lots of board games. Lots of options to order from. Many ice cream flavors.

My family and I stopped in and had a wonderful visit. The staff was so kind and helpful with our 5 children. They gave out samples and explained each ice cream. Our shakes and ice creams were made to perfection!! We will be back in the future.

This is a coffee shop that also serves ice cream, bobas, tea and a variety of coffee combinations, cold and hot. Very good coffee. There are tables. Sofas, games, books, can use lap top. They have had book fairs and gamers on occasion. It is immediately adjacent to a park and community center where on summer weekends there is gospel singing, booths and crafts. Well worth the trip as you cone through. Locals know and appreciate it.

The ice cream was good, and the people were friendly. My only complaint is the amount of ice cream. Two scoops only filled the cup half way. The two scoops could have fit in the single-scoop cup. I don’t recall having this issue the last couple of times I went.

I recently visited Charlestown Coffee & Cream and overall had a pleasant experience. The shop itself has a nice ambiance, and the flavor selection is impressive. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into crafting their offerings.

However, I must address a significant issue: the portion sizes of the ice cream are disappointingly small. After ordering what I assumed would be a generously sized cone, I was quite surprised at how little ice cream I received. I’ve read other reviews where the owners push back on this issue, stating that their ice cream is served by weight and not volume, and that the difference is due to the air content in the ice cream.

They mention options like “super premium” and “premium” grades, with super premium being denser. While this explanation might be valid from a technical standpoint, it doesn’t change the fact that customers expect a decent-sized serving when they purchase ice cream, especially for the prices charged.

The response from the owners comes across as dismissive rather than understanding or customer-focused. Telling customers to opt for a different type of ice cream or explaining away their concerns does not address the core issue: the perceived value for money. Ice cream is as much about the experience as it is about the quality, and feeling like you’re getting less than expected diminishes that experience significantly.

I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and consider adjusting their portion sizes or at least their approach to addressing customer concerns. It’s a great shop with a lot of potential, but this issue is a significant drawback.
