We ordered lunch from Palmita today, getting both the chicken bowls and the tofu bowl for takeout. The food was reasonably priced, cheaper than Chipotle from where we had ordered lunch yesterday for us and the team doing some renovations at our place.
Food was ready 15 minutes after we ordered.
The chicken bowls were solid, flavorful, and filling, but the true standout was the tofu offering.
If you’re looking for a quick, fresh, and satisfying lunch option, especially if you want a fantastic vegetarian choice, definitely give Palmita’s tofu bowl a try! Highly recommend.

Pay attention to the detail that this is a virtual food court. The building is labeled “Ivy city food works” and it’s 99% uber eats and door dash drivers picking up orders. Follow the directions you will get emailed or texted to you. There’s a code to show a screen and a locker pops open, which you can also do remotely but don’t until you are in the building. There are kitchens on the other side of the locker wall.

This was my first time trying Palmita, and it is absolutely delicious! Their food is vegan friendly and healthy as well. I highly recommend for everyone to try this place. I had ordered the Palmita Power Mixto Bowl. Everything was great! The food service even shocked me. Contactless pick up. All you have to do is scan your order number/receipt to the tablet. The tablet will let you know that your order is ready for pick up then the locker will open for you. It’s pretty cool and convenient. Or maybe I’m just a bit outdated lol but I never seen anything like this before. So kudos to Palmita for not only great service but delicious food as well!

Worst experience ever.
Placed an order via the kiosk, which said the order would be done in 10 minutes.
25 minutes later l, still no notification as to when it would be ready.
I knocked on the window and spoke with a staff member. They stated my food was ready long ago, but they were trying to figure out a way of canceling my drink, as it was being provided by a vendor that is no longer in business (I ordered everything from Palmitas restaurant, via the kiosk).
The staff member handed me a bag with (now cold) food and Said they didn’t know how to refund me for the drink that they could not provide.
I asked to speak with the manager (Ray) in order to get reimbursed. Had to wait for the manager to return to the restaurant, in order to reimburse me.
40 minutes wasted, and had to pay full price for a cold lunch. Terrible…

Order take out, absolutely divine 1000/10. As someone with gluten and dairy allergy, this is one of the best meals I’ve had in DC. I ordered the Chicken Mixto Bowl, and the pudding as a treat. I ordered it three nights in a row, please stay FOREVER!

Wow really great flavors. The mole sauce is excellent, and there’s something really great about how it pairs with the seasonings on the millet-rice.

Just ordered for the first time, and my chicken bowl was delicious! Everything tasted so fresh and good for me!!! And I can’t believe that it was that price considering bowls are normally upwards of $15 and aren’t that fresh. Definitely will order again!

Idk how this place doesn’t have reviews. But I’ve never seen it before so maybe it’s new… the food was great! I don’t feel bogged down and sluggish after lunch. I had enough protein and veggies. There was so much food and very nice prices. The cilantro sauce I had set the dish off perfectly! I ordered delivery. It took some time but that’s because it was delicious. A little too heavy handed on the pickled onions for me but that’s my only complaint. It also can with a note which is so cute to me. Will be ordering here again
