If you’re looking for one of the best seafood buffets in Myrtle Beach, Hooks Calabash Seafood Buffet is definitely worth a visit. Their seafood selection is fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. We especially enjoyed the snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, and the Hooks seafood boil everything was cooked perfectly and had great taste. The ribeye steak was also tender and juicy, and pairing it with fries was a great choice.
The buffet offers a wide variety of options including salads, soups, Southern-style sides, and a solid dessert station. We loved finishing the meal with their ice cream and cotton candy. They also offer cocktails, which made the experience even better. Service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-stocked throughout our visit.

This place is nasty. The food was not good at all and definitely not worth the money. Everything tasted old and poorly made. For what they charge, I expected way better.
The service was terrible. They don’t pay attention to regular customers, but they’re quick to grab a camera when content creators walk in. It feels like they care more about social media than the people actually spending money there.
Overall, bad food, bad service, and a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend it. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Coco chanel was an amazing waitress!! We appreciate all the recommendations (yum!) and everything looked and tasted fantastic! This would also be a fun place to gather with some friends for some fun adult drinks! If you are looking for good drinks, great service, and tasty food/buffet, RUN NOT WALK HERE!!

Crab and prime rib were fine. All fish were way over cooked or sitting too long and dried out. Dessert were good. For the price of buffet, I’d expect seafood to be good but it wasn’t.

I read some bad reviews before going… but I have only GOOD things to say about Hook’s!!! The food was delicious. Crab was juicy and hot. The crab legs cracked perfectly with the perfect pull almost each time! The large buffet & desserts were great too! I went early with a $5 coupon… I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in Myrtle Beach.

Tourist trap: this is the most horrible experience and restaurant to go to for seafood or any kind of food. Dinner price for the buffet is $50. Any alcoholic drink is $24 and it tastes like cheap liquor. The food is greasy and dry. It tastes like it’s been sitting under the heated lamps for hours. The shrimp is chewy and dry. The crawfish is super low quality. The ribs were cold even though they were sitting under the hot lamps. It’s honestly the worst food experience I’ve ever had. I honestly DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Please don’t waste your money here. There’s much better places to go to. I even took a picture of the kitchen and is so disgusting and dirty. Any coupons must be presented before you sit down – still don’t recommend you go. Coupons only give you $3 off the dinner price. It’s just not good at all.
