The meal started off strong with the appetizers recommended from the waiters. They were all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For the main course, our group ordered various chicken dishes, and every single one was a hit. The chicken was tender, juicy, and the sauces were authentic and delicious.
What truly elevated our experience was the service. A huge shoutout to Augie, who was phenomenal! He was attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed while giving us great recommendations of what to order. It’s rare to find service this polished and personable and it did not go unnoticed.
Whether you’re looking for a great family dinner or a spot with top-tier service and Italian classics, Mauro’s is the place to go. We will definitely be back!
But what’s makes this place stand out is the people. The owner loves the food he is making and cares for his staff. The staff seem happy and their energy and joy come across everywhere. We stayed past closing time chatting and eating and drinking.
I can’t wait to come back. You should visit too.
We just moved to the neighborhood and weren’t expecting to find this gem, this spot instantly felt like home. Super warm, cozy, local vibe, and Augie (the owner) and staff fully tentative to every detail.
The baked clams were so good we ordered them twice. The artichokes were on point, and the pappardelle Bolognese? Ridiculous. We literally woke up the next morning still talking about how good dinner was.
Hands down our new favorite. Total must.
Venue is tiny but classy and romantic. Wines decorate the wall and the pizza oven is in plain sight. Love the barrel table for 2.
My linguine with onions & red peppers was nothing short of amazing. Complimentary garlic bread . Cappuccino came with biscotti .
Thank you Joe for a great experience!
Definitely coming back for date night .
Sadly this restaurant is not the same anymore. The bread wasn’t fresh, was too thin and crunchy whereas it used to be soft and fluffy. The pappardelle bolognese is nowhere near what it used to be. The paninis aren’t pressed enough and have lost their delicious taste. The chicken francese was very salty. The dining experience is not cozy anymore, it’s awfully loud to the point you cannot have a conversation. I write this review in good faith in hopes it can be restored to its previous glory. Sadly I will not be coming back.
Please re-open soon! We miss this fantastic little restaurant.
