Adventures in brunching continues.

Chose this place since it was close to where we were at that time.

The wait was decent and the hostess was nice. Please note – This place is very VERY kid friendly. Seated and ready to view the menu but drinks first!

Daughter got the mimosa flight as always with various flavors. The two I tasted had slight flavor but definitely champagne. I was sadly disappointed that I couldn’t get a Bloody Mary as they have no liquor license(?) so I ordered the Brewed Mary – ale instead of vodka. Had a nice flavor but a tad bit salty.

For foods I was basic – scrambled eggs with cheese, side of bacon, side of ham, home fries n English muffin. Nothing fascinating but good. My daughter ordered some kind of chicken and pasta Alfredo. She said it was really delicious and it looked tasty indeed. Like me the Grand Princess was basic with scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit.

Our waitress Sarah was so sweet and accommodating. Very nice spot for a good meal.

The staff is amazing. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. In addition to that, their food is delicious, plenty of healthy options, and great drinks. Their food presentation is excellent. My daughter loves their hot chocolate; she claims it is the best in the capital region.
Great for daytime brunch, a date, or even the family. This is a must try!

The wife and I were out for an early Sunday drive, decided to look for a new place for brunch. Wife picked Eadilyn’s, which was a small drive from where we were, but so worth it.

A full parking lot was a good sign. The place was busy, a touch loud (sound-damping ceiling tiles helped), yet had a relaxed vibe. We were greeted cordially and had to wait just a minute or two to be seated. That gave us time to see the staff in action. They were busy, but everyone was unstressed and working together.

Drinks: Excellent coffee from Capital City Coffee. Well made café au lait, perfect microfoam on top. Regular coffee was hot, fresh, and high-quality. I also tried a beer cocktail: the Brewed Mary. Homemade bloody mary mix, heavy on the horseradish, with Ithaca Flower Power IPA instead of vodka. What a perfect pairing.

Food: Quite a large and somewhat eclectic menu. Ingredients were fresh, high quality, and expertly prepared. My wife’s caprese omelette and my burrata toast were amazing. Homemade desserts were literally the icing on the cake. ‘Nuff said.

Our server, Taylor, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and just attentive enough. She helped make our meal special.

Oh yes, the place was spotless too.

Awesome awesome awesome. We will definitely be back.

Our food was fantastic and I liked that we had the option of sitting outdoors (although we did need to wait 30-40 minutes). Everyone was happy with their orders. I had “eggs you way” which came with bacon, homefries, and toast. The bacon was perfectly crispy and everything was good quality. My mother-in- law had an omlette with a side of fruit. My husband had a French toast sandwich and said it was fantastic. I only took off a star because service was slow. It seemed like they were overwhelmed or understaffed. I know it was a busy day (brunch on a Sunday) but there were 3 empty tables outside that took 15-20 minutes to get bussed/cleaned when there were obviously people waiting to be seated. We were waiting for a table while staring at several empty tables that needed to be cleaned which was frustrating. Still giving them 4 stars because the food was good and we were happy once we were seated.

We love brunch and our go to is typically Saratoga Winery, Henry’s Tavern, and the Tipsy Moose. However thanks to the 518 Foodie Facebook group I have a bucket list of brunch spots all over the 518 we want to try. This past Saturday we checked the first one off our list when we travelled to Wynantskill to visit Eadilyn’s Table.

We arrived around 10:30 am and we’re seated promptly. We found the cafe to be exceptionally clean, bright and nicely decorated. Waitstaff meet us at our table immediately and took our drink order (mimosa flight for me, IPA for hubs) By the time our drinks were served we had decided on our meals. Eggs Benny for both us. Him corned beef, me tomato spinach. We expected the meals to take longer to be made being a from scratch kitchen but surprisingly the wait wasn’t long at all. Portions were good, not too small, not too generous, and presentation was good. Both of us found our dishes to be lacking in flavor which resulted in us both adding salt to our meals. For my husband salt is a staple and part of his everyday food groups so he doesn’t count lol, but I almost never reach for the table salt. This time was the exception as the dish desperately needed something. The poached eggs were cooked well. The hollandaise sauce was nice. The English muffins could have been toasted and made crisper but that is my personal preference. Husband loved the corn beef said it was the perfect tenderness. The home fried potatoes were great, loved the diced onions (but needed that added salt) and they could have been on the crispier side. Plates were cleared, check arrived and all in all no issues. We enjoyed our experience and although we would never travel the 40 minutes out of our way again, should we find ourselves in these neck of the woods we would certainly return.

Eadilyn’s Table is a real gem of a cafe restaurant and has become our go-to weekend brunch spot.

You can really taste that their food is made with high-quality, fresh ingredients and is prepared with pride, care, and attention to detail. This is not a place to come for a wham-bam, in-and-out, rushed meal. Food orders can take a little while to come out, but it’s more than worth the reasonable wait. They also have a great selection of tasty and original cafe drinks and cocktails to keep you very happy while your food is being prepared…try the mimosas or hot chocolate. Portion sizes are generous without being ridiculous and you certainly wont be leaving hungry. The homemade challah french toast (or better yet OREO FRENCH TOAST [pictured]), Fruit and Greek Yogurt Parfait with a huge variety of fresh, seasonal fruits, and the scrumptious bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches are a few of our favorite menu items.

The atmosphere and decor is simple, clean, and comfortable with an upscale coffee shop or cafe sort of vibe. Their customer demographic seems to trend towards a more adult crowd ranging from young couples to retirees, but families with well-behaved children would not feel out of place at all. They do have a small breakfast/lunch kids menu. However, due to the mellow cafe-esque atmosphere it’s probably not the greatest choice for a fussy infant or apple juiced-up toddler.

Eadilyn’s Table also shines brightly when it comes to its high-caliber service and hospitality. We’ve always found the lovely servers there to be genuinely welcoming, cheerful, and eager to make our dining experience perfect but without being overbearing.

The icing on the cake are the very reasonable menu prices, especially considering the high quality of the food. Just be aware that the cafe drinks and cocktails are highly splurge-able and you can easily run up a pretty hefty tab if you don’t cut yourself off after one or two! Honestly, I doubt you’ll be too upset if you do though.

I will close this review with a custom made “Dad Joke” to thank ET for giving us a go-to breakfast spot that is really OUT OF THIS WORLD

TL;DR: High-quality food, generous portions, top-notch service.
