We visited on a very slow evening and unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. Despite the light crowd, several menu items were unavailable, which immediately limited options.
Service was exceptionally slow. Appetizers — queso, guacamole, and salsa verde — took approximately 45 minutes to arrive and were delivered at the same time as the main courses, eliminating any sense of pacing. The dips themselves were underwhelming: the queso tasted generic, the salsa lacked depth and flavor, and portions were quite small for the price.
The main dishes were acceptable, but not strong enough to compensate for the delays and overall execution issues. Attention to timing, freshness, and basic hospitality seemed inconsistent throughout the visit.
With better management and kitchen coordination, this restaurant could improve significantly. As it stands, there are stronger options in the area that provide a more reliable dining experience

I’m not sure what’s going on with so much negative reviews to this place! I’ve been here several times the last few months and they keep surprising me and my family. They have a new menu with classic and authentic mexican food. And the drink menu is just as perfect. I tried the Mrs. Jamaica and I swear it’s one of the best margs that I’ve ever tried. Please don’t be discouraged by seeing these negative reviews about the food and give a try to this place. You won’t regret it! Kudos to Jonathan and Lucy for being such great workers.

I’ve been wanting to go to Luna Del Rio for a few years now, and I finally had the opportunity to visit while celebrating some dear friends’ birthdays — and let me just say, it was so worth the wait!
The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was just as amazing — warm, inviting, and perfect for a long, celebratory evening. We were there for hours, and it never once felt rushed or uncomfortable.
A special shoutout to our server, Danny, who was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to what was already a fantastic experience.
Also worth noting: the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the food and the service — nothing felt inflated or overpriced.
Highly recommend Luna Del Rio, whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a great night out!

Brought my friend here to try since this restaurant is pretty new. We both ordered the shrimp street tacos, and she added a side of guacamole. I got 3 tacos—two had three shrimp and one had 2 shrimp with lime and radish garnishes. She got 3 tacos-two had 2 shrimp and one had 3 shrimp and no garnishes. I spoke to a manager letting her know that when you order the same meal, the portions should be the SAME. She agreed. Got us more shrimp. Also no sides at all with these street tacos and no sauce. Just shrimp, diced red onions and cilantro. Didn’t taste bad but really could have used a sauce or cheese or something. The tiny (maybe 1 ounce) of guacamole was $4!!!! After we paid the server said, “maybe next time it will be a little better”. Wow. They’ve got some high expectations for themselves. Sadly, I don’t think I will be coming back to see if it got “a little better” or not.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We came in Saturday for lunch as a party of 4 with a toddler. The place was dead. My pregnant best friend and I were delighted to see they had an entire mocktail menu and ordered 2 Virgin mojitos (exactly as they were listed on the menu) and the server repeated back that they were Virgin. When he dropped them off, after 20 minutes, he just called them mojitos. Luckily my best friend’s husband was there to try it because we were both served regular, alcoholic mojitos. To a pregnant woman!!! We had to inquire with the bartender, as the server was never anywhere to be found, and she apologized profusely and said they were rung in incorrectly. We were charged for the alcoholic version, which was more expensive. My friend ordered a kid’s beef burrito for her toddler who was asleep in the stroller. Waiter took the order with no additional comment. What we received was a bean burrito and a nice “adult upcharge” for this item on the bill. I’m not sure what was expected…should the toddler order for himself? We saw the server maybe 3 times the entire time, found ourselves waiting for everything (more chips, the check, to go containers), and got to enjoy the bartender loudly complaining about having to make drinks which is…her job?

I would not recommend this place. We went to the Mill yesterday because of the Wildlife Expo. The hostess recommended us to sit at the bar because there was no wait. Took a while for the guy to even acknowledge us. We immediately tell him our drink order, all waters and we were there to eat. He proceeds to tell us it’s a limited menu due to event. That’s fine no big deal. We were starving. It must have taken another 10 minutes to get menus. In the meantime, the guy, the only one serving the bar proceeds to keep taking care of everyone that walks up. The hostess gives us menus and the guy never comes to take our order. He continues to take care of everyone else.
My husband and I were in the hospitality industry combined for over 40 years. We understand the business and have patience.This place is a disaster. Maybe it was because we ordered water??? First and foremost you do not have to order alcohol to sit at a bar. Everyone should be treated fairly not matter who you are and what you order.
Well, I hope you enjoyed that $5 tip we still gave you for literally nothing. This guy does not need to be in the service industry. He is a bad representative of your company.

This place is amazing! The food was great, the drinks were delicious and well priced. But the best part- they have their own tequila and it is the best I’ve ever had! I would 100% recommend the reposado. And you can really tell the staff cares and does a great job 🙂 5/5!

I received excellent service during my visit! The waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was wonderful I ordered the Huevos con chorizo with a side of black beans, and everything was delicious. This was my first time dining here, and I had the opportunity to speak with the manager, who shared that the restaurant recently changed ownership and updated the menu with new items. I look forward to returning soon!

We saw a tik tok of The mill and one of the restaurants being talked about was Luna Del Rio and so tonight we decided to go and check it out. Let me tell you that the food wasn’t the only thing that impressed us. The food was great and the price was even better as it was very affordable for two people to eat. But what really wowed us was our waiter and his name was Pablo. I have eaten at every Mexican restaurant in canton and no one has given us the service he has. He was not only on top of it but you could really see how much he cared about the restaurant and his job. If you want to eat somewhere and truly have a great dining experience I would highly suggest giving Pablo at Luna del rio’s an opportunity to Take care of you. The food was great and the mill was fun as well but Pablo made the night. His service was impeccable so next time you eat here ask for him by name. Truly did an amazing job.
