On a recent trip, my wife and I stopped by the resort, specifically to checkout its restaurant and scenary. The resort has a beautiful view, right in front of its restaurant, overlooking a winery. At the time, the restaurant was serving lunch, so we ordered a burger and a po’boy. They were cooked to order and simply delicious. The staff were wonderful and friendly too, checking with us frequently to make sure we’re satisfied. Although didn’t stay at the resort, we nevertheless visited its gift shop and a small trail, which were clean and well maintained. I would love to come back here for a vacation soon.

We stopped here for breakfast before going to the North Georgia Wildlife and Safari Park. The view was incredible. They were very kind and supportive of our kids and helped us provide food for our kids with dietary restrictions. Most of the food was pretty good, our hostess was very sweet and the view was incredible. I knocked a star for food as it wasn’t elevated as much as I was hoping for. You could tell they use canola oil or something for their hashbrowns and it tasted kind of plastic. We usually prefer tallow or avocado oils for foods. We still had a great experience and would recommend!

I admit I had fairly low expectations for this on-site restaurant while we were staying at the resort, and they were exceeded. The food was excellent. We got the salt & vinegar chip starter with onion dip, and the chips weren’t as salty/vinegary as I’d like, but the texture was great and the dip was very tasty. The fried brussels sprouts were perfect, flavorful and not greasy at all. For our mains, we got the pumpkin risotto with steak added, and the mushroom & chorizo marsala, and both were executed perfectly, full of flavor. We also got brunch/lunch the next day and the gold rush breakfast bowl was perfect as was the black & bleu caesar wrap, along with the gouda grits. All of the food was top tier.
The cocktail list skews a bit sweet, so we got them as desserts, and they were very good for that purpose, very attractive and tasty. You can also of course order off-menu mixed drinks and I trust those are done well.
Because of the incoming ice storm, the atmosphere was very quiet, and there were only a few other diners while we were there, but I think it would generally be a quiet and calm vibe.
The service was a bit spotty, sometimes waiting awhile to get topped off on water and other drinks, or being given the wrong menu, so that was the only downside. But the servers were very polite otherwise, so it was a very pleasant experience apart from the minor hiccups. If you’re considering visiting this restaurant whether or not you’re staying on property, I’d say it’s very much worth a try.

The food and service were excellent. The views were outstanding and the meals were beautifully presented. The prices were very fair in our opinion. We went for our anniversary and the staff all wished us a happy anniversary on their rounds.

This location is perfect for a nice meal or a special occasion on the patio or the indoor dining room that was wonderfully air conditioned and seemed very comfortable.

We drove 1.5 hours to eat here as their hours said they were open and serving food. We arrived at 3:02pm and were informed they do not serve from 3-5pm. As we asked if they could make an exception given we drove so far and were 2 minutes outside of that window, we were told we could get appetizers 3-5 just not an actual meal. Then, another person arrived and informed us there was an event so they were not serving food at all. Considering they advertise to people living in Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs better focus should be placed on ensuring information is accurate. I mentioned they should keep their hours up to date because of this and was told “well normally we serve appetizers now”. We were excited to come and stay here and have a place to enjoy the area, but will not be back given how ill informed and unhelpful the staff was.
