Great new place in Chestland for craft beer and food. Great variety of beers available to suit all tastes. Spacious layout with plenty of seating. Has TVs for those wanting to watch a game or movie. Really enjoyed my first visit. Will return.

The chocolate peanut butter stout was my favorite beer I have ever consumed. Everything else I had was excellent as well. Will be back to sample food 🙂 hope this place sticks around, it’s so nice to finally see this building being put to good use!!

I want to offer a different perspective after reading a lower review (Andrea Schwartz who already left a bad review, cough cough).

Purpose Brew Works just opened, and it’s important to understand what this place actually is: a craft brewery with a counter-service model, not a full-service restaurant. Many breweries operate exactly this way. You order at the bar, grab your food when it’s ready, and enjoy the space. That’s very normal in the craft beer world. I prefer this for a brewery, and some of the most successful breweries in the county like Tree House Brewing operate this way.

If someone is expecting table service, servers, and a traditional restaurant experience (Andrea Schwartz cough cough), that’s simply a mismatch of expectation and not necessarily a flaw in the business model. Someone like Andrea Schwartz should find their closest Bob Evans and eat there.

From my visit, the beer was excellent. They opened with a strong, diverse tap list, which is impressive for a brand new brewery in a tough market. Everything I tried was well executed. The bratwurst simmered in their own beer was outstanding.

Yes, they’re new. Yes, they’ll refine their flow and staffing as they grow. That’s typical during opening weeks. But the foundation, the beer, the concept, and the atmosphere is all solid. I’m excited for them to also get more involved on Untappd.

Northeast Ohio has seen too many brewery closures recently. If you care about local craft beer, this is exactly the kind of place worth supporting while they dial things in. Remember, this is a soft opening.

We’ll absolutely be back.

Went there on St Patrick’s Day and it was great!! My reuben was very good didn’t have to wait to long to find a table and the line to order beer went fast food and came out fast enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, love that it was close to home and not too crowded and can enjoy a beer and food without being cramped in, everything was great we been there before and was great as well but wasn’t sure what to expect with St Patrick’s Day but it was great really enjoyed ourself.didnt really care for the Barells tables and seat we’re uncomfortable and didn’t have room for food but a table open up and we’re able to go there and it was great, Looking forward to coming back it will definitely be our go to place for a beer and food. Thank.you

Our first visit was great. The beer offerings were diverse enough to satisfy all our party. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The quality of the beer was spot on as well.
