The food was great. We ordered tropical and regular conch with an order of cracked conch. Delicious!! The only downside is it was a long wait that day for everyone. One hr and 15 minutes to be exact. Special orders for a small business can be a deal breaker. However, we were patient and the others were too. They were nice about it even giving us extra in our orders. I would go back but maybe order ahead of pick up.

Conch is decent here. The fritters were fresh, fluffy with good flavor, however not much conch in it. The conch salad wasn’t made fresh, you can tell it was sitting in the fridge for a day or 2. This place has potential but over priced for the conch salad not to be made fresh.

I’ve been traveling to the Bahamas for over 40 years, and as someone who grew up in South Florida and went to Miami Jackson Senior High, I know good conch when I taste it. Let me tell you — Billy Joe’s “The Con Queen” in Dania, Florida has absolutely mastered it!
Their Fried Crack Conch is perfection — tender, flavorful, and fried to golden crispiness without losing that fresh island bite. It’s seasoned just right, and every bite brings back memories of Nassau and Freeport. The Conch Salad is equally outstanding — vibrant, fresh, and bursting with the perfect balance of citrus, spice, and crunch. You can taste the love and authenticity in every bite.
What makes the experience even better is the atmosphere. It’s casual, welcoming, and filled with good energy — the kind of place where everyone feels like family. This brother-sister team is doing something truly special, serving food with passion and pride that honors Caribbean tradition.

Today I took a drive from Miami to try a place I kept hearing about — Billy Joe’s The Conch Queen — and let me tell you, it wasn’t just worth the trip to Hollywood… it felt like I stepped into a time machine that carried me straight back to my childhood in the Bahamas.
The moment I walked through the front door, I heard the voices of Bahamian women in the kitchen — laughing, talking, cooking. That alone told me: this was going to be the real deal. And it was. From the first bite, I was transported. It felt like I was sitting in Grammy’s house back home, smelling thyme in the rice and waiting for that soft, warm Guava Duff to come out of the pot.
Everything was authentically Bahamian — from the cracked conch served with lime, to the perfectly seasoned peas n’ rice, to the Goombay Punch and Vita Malt that took me back to Sunday dinners and family gatherings. And that Guava Duff? Soft, warm, and smothered in the most heavenly sauce. Honestly — and I say this with love — not even my Mummy can’t cook this good!
Billy Joe’s doesn’t just serve food — they serve memories. They serve home. If you’re Bahamian, you’ll understand what I mean. If you’re not, go anyway — and you just might get a taste of what it feels like to grow up in the islands, sitting at Grammy’s table, surrounded by love, laughter, and the aroma of something delicious on the stove.

Inside is small not a good place to eat in at, I came here because me and my wife wanted conch. We placed an order online we got there about 20 minutes after placing the order online for conch fritters cracked conch and a conch salad. The wait was over an hour long for something we thought was pretty simple. The conch fritters I’ve had better from Doucè the conch salad was eh the cracked conch was well prepared but lacking in flavor. Everything I had is done way better at the other seafood places we go to.

The food was good. Large portions. There is no dine in, except 2 or 3 tables. The AC was out and it was very hot. Lunch special was only $6.99. Overall, I would recommend going there to eat. The fried conch was good. Nice service.

The food was definitely on point! I’m glad I don’t have to drive to Miami to get good conch salad. My son and I loooove conch salad! They make it fresh to order. We didn’t even make it out the door with the conch salad. It was just that good!!!
I purposely went there because I was craving a whole fried fish and I must say, they did not disappoint! I got the $20 fish & it was perfectly seasoned and fried on the outside. The inside was where the magic was. The meat was juicy and flavorful, definitely marinated.
I look forward to going back. Ms. Elaine was so sweet and very personable. Businesses have to understand that it’s not always the food that keeps you coming back, but the service too!

DISGUSTING FOOD (Read FULL Review)!!!
If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, i would.
On April 3, 2023. I drove from Tamarac to this location which is VERY far away. I spent over $80 dollars on the following (see one of the receipts attached) and pictures
– Lobster/Conch dinner; Conch was tough, over fried, over seasoned… enormous amount of rice that was by the way stale , hard and oily.!
– Grouper Steak dinner; REALLY This is a Joke these shredded pieces of Grouper disguised in heavy peppery sauce over oily hard , stale rice with NO TASTE. My husband spoke with the young lady who took the order and SPECIFICALLY Asked for pepper on the side. Well they put pepper all over where all you tasted was pepper and not the food. Mind you WE KNOW BAHAMIAN FOOD MY HUSBAND IS BAHAMIAN AND WE TRAVEL THERE OFTEN….
IN ADDITION I ORDER TWO ORDERS OF Wings And WE COULD NOT Even EAT IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO SALTY!!!! THIS WAS AN ADDITIONAL $12 WHICH NOW I SPENT $80 SOMETHING DOLLARS… IF THE FOOD WAS GOOD THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM BUT APRIL 4, 2023, I WILL BE DRIIVING THIS DISGUSTING FOOD BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT.
