We ordered margaritas (which were so good!), the queso fundido — honestly one of the best I’ve tried — along with the guacamole and tacos al pastor. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and really hit the spot after a morning on the mountain.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was great as well. Such a fun and delicious stop — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
We had a pitcher of the Cadillac margs, fresh guac, salsa. Steak quesadillas were great.
We ordered chicken nachos and a shrimp fajita plate. Both dishes had good flavor, nothing overwhelming, not a big level of spice. The sauces were tasty but could’ve used a little more oomph. Not bland, exactly but not enough to make me think it was anything special.
The guacamole, though… fresh, creamy, and easily the star of the meal.
We sat at the bar, and the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, a solid stop for dinner with room to spice things up a notch. The view was pretty good too.
In addition, the service was non-existent. In the time it took for our table to even place an order, I was able to leave, go to another restaurant, wait for a pizza to be made, and bring it back. Our server never offered drink refills, and the cooks were the ones who eventually brought our food. The server only appeared to drop off the bill long after the rest of the family had been finished eating.
Because of the lack of service and the conflicting information regarding the pizza, we chose not to tip. The server then proceeded to chase my fiancé and me halfway through the village, insinuating that I had “disrespected” him. He then went back and confronted my brother and sister-in-law to demand a tip from them. It is ironic that they were worried about a “health inspector” seeing an outside pizza in the 5 minutes it took to eat, but apparently weren’t worried about their staff harassing customers in the street. Save your money and go somewhere that understands basic hospitality.
When I told the server I would be leaving a review to reflect this poor experience, he dismissively assured me it “would have no impact” on their business. After reading through several other reviews, it seems many have had similar poor experiences recently.
Save your money and your evening. If you decide to risk eating here, check the most recent reviews first—you’ll see this isn’t an isolated incident.
