Quick counter service and the BBQ is fairly good. Unfortunately, they don’t do hush puppies, but slaw is good. Really need to get a fryer and put sauce out on the tables for use instead of a little cup in your tray.

Just Delicious! I had the Brisket and my husband had the pulled pork, I had Mac n cheese and hillbilly grits while he had baked beans and Mac n cheese. The brisket had a nice peppery crust on the edges, was generously portioned and tasty. They served it with their house bbq sauce, it was a vinegar based sauce (normally I don’t like vinegar sauces) and it was tasty. I recommend giving this place a try!

Amazing!! First time eating here since coming into Lenoir to open our gym. They not only cook an amazing beef brisket!, they’re very friendly and courteous. Thankful to this place for helping promote Workout Anytime Lenoir as well. Will make this a regular stop throughout the week. Food was quality!

Food is simple and delicious! Best pulled pork I have ever had. Absolutely no fat just tender yummy pork. The special recipe beans and potato salad are unlike anywhere else. And have you ever tried Nutter Butter banana pudding? You can here.

The brisket was tough, dry, and had zero flavor. The sauce (served on the side) was vinegar-based and not totally bad. Overall, this was a below average experience, and it felt like a group of twenty-something ladies got together and decided to open a BBQ place….and got their recipes online.

Nice but typical bbq decor. The pulled pork is tender with a good flavor. The smoked chicken is hands down top three I have had. The chicken is tender and juicy with a light smoky flavor and YES IT IS PINK AS IT SHOULD BE. The slaw is average and the beans are cowboy style. The only disappointment was the brisket. It was cooked so long it was like a pot roast. Very large hunk for a portion but not a sliceable brisket also pretty bland due to the cook time. Still a very solid place to eat.

Smoking Hogs is a great place to get some BBQ, as long as you don’t mind a somewhat limited menu. The pork and brisket are top notch, but the lack of a fryer in the kitchen prevents a lot of classic sides like okra or even french fries. They do however have items like baked beans and potato salad, so there is at least that much. There is no real kids menu to speak of, so if you have a picky little one, this may work better as a take out option.

Smokin Hogs BBQ is good pulled pork bbq with all of the sides baked beans, grits, red or white slaw, etc. They also have smoked bone in chicken and ribs. I like deeper, richer, thicker bbq sauce than they have but the food is good if you’re in the area.
