Amos & Amos is an old school but decent BBQ option for the Minneapolis area. The beef ribs are big and meaty. The bbq sauce used here is unique but good. Pulled pork is more chopped than pulled but I don’t mind that at all (I usually don’t like pulled pork but this was enjoyable). Fried catfish was perfectly seasoned and juicy! Double cheeseburger was nice as well. Fried chicken and the sweet potato pie were both good. Customer service is great! Bruce cares about the quality of the food. Recommend calling in your order ahead of time.

I gave this place a 4 for its potential. I was there on a cold windy winter night and its a walk up location. There’s a good chance I was the only customer that night. The gentleman working said something about the food not being as good as he would like, but added some extra to make up for it. With the wind it was hard to hear him through the window. The bbq had very good flavor. I look forward to trying the food in the summer. I believe it will be a 5 star experience. I’ll be back when the weather warms up!

The pulled pork is not pulled. It is chopped chunks that contain too much gristle. It is edible, but I can’t say it is good.
The pork ribs are cooked, but not enough. The silver skin was not removed and there were parts of the meat that were so dry and tough it was inedible.
The coleslaw is very finely minced and has too much mayonnaise for my taste. I can’t recommend it.
The brisket, pound cake and sweet potato pie were unavailable. Maybe that’s the thing to get but with all the other restaurants in the area I don’t feel compelled to try this one again.
