Take Back Roads
I had lunch here recently. It was my first visit.
The service was very friendly and insanely fast. The place is clean, but chilly inside.
The food was on the low end of mediocre. It was not bad, per se, but was pretty bland. Portion sizes were enormous and the prices were ok, but there was nothing that I ate that would give me any reason to come back again. The wonton soup was the most flavorful thing. The egg rolls were meh, and the chicken and broccoli with fried rice was not very good at all.
Very disappointing given the high rating and rave reviews. That just wasn’t my experience.

I ordered 2 items for takeout, sesame beef and orange chicken. I was so disappointed in both. First, the sesame beef had the exact same sauce as the orange chicken. And the beef was so tough and overcooked that I coudn’t chew it. Second, the orange chicken (nor the beef) had any orange flavoring to it. The sauce on both were simply an overly sweet, sticky, flavorless sauce. I’m giving it two stars only because I could eat (but not enjoy) the chicken. The beef got thrown out. Another thing, I must say this is the first time I have ever ordered Chinese food and not given white rice to go with it. There was no rice at all. Apparently, that is extra. 25 cents worth of rice is apparently more than they can provide.

I feel bad about leaving a one star, but before leaving I spoke with the manager about our food, everything was magnificent clean restaurant and friendly service, however the fried rice and chow mein tasted burnt, it was so bad that I could never picture myself coming back, the owner said he would take care of us next time, we still tipped. There is no way they should have charged us for those two dishes they weren’t even edible. By far the worse thing I have ever tasted in years. It was so bad i wouldn’t even feed it to my dog.

I really enjoyed my meal here! The sweet-and-sour chicken was crispy my noodle dish had great seasoning, and overall portion size was very generous

Great food, good portions, delivery is fast and friendly and they’re my go to when I want Chinese but also don’t wanna disturb my inner couch potato!

This is a very quaint and simple restaurant. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with veggie fried rice. Everything was perfectly flavored and well balanced. The sauce was not too sweet. The rice was delicate with lightly crunchy vegetables. The chicken, on the other hand, was very poor quality. It was like biting into a stack of toothpicks. I can’t say it was overcooked since the breading was perfect. If the chicken was better quality, I’d make Amy’s my go-to Chinese restaurant. But after this first impression, I’ll find another.

Based on the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We ordered the Peking dinner for three that came with hot & sour soup, egg rolls, fried chicken, pork fried rice, lemon chicken, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef.
It came with generous portions. We could feed six people with amount that was included.
However, the quality and flavor of the food was poor. The hot and sour soup lacked flavor and included several pieces of low quality tofu which didn’t do much to benefit it. The egg rolls were mushy inside. The lemon and orange chicken that came with it were exactly the same apart from one had too much lemon glaze and the other had too much orange glaze. Both had somewhat mushy battered chicken. The Mongolian beef and pork fried rice were decent, but not exceptional.
Bottom line, if you’re looking for a lot of food at a reasonable price, this is the place; however, if you’re looking for good Chinese food, you may need to look elsewhere.

Closed early for Christmas after we specifically called in advance to make sure that it would be open for dinner. They decided to close early when we arrived.

I have never been a fan of Chinese food, but we have eaten at Amy’s Chinese Kitchen twice in the past month, and both times the food was very fresh and tasty. We have tried several dishes and soup and loved everything we’ve eaten. Servings size is generous. In fact for takeout lunch, my husband and I share one main course. Service has been great. Atmosphere is simple and clean. Don’t go if you want atmosphere. But if you want excellent Chinese food at a very reasonable price, we highly recommend Amy’s, our new favorite Chinese restaurant!

We’ve lived down the street from this place for a while and it’s one of our favorites. The food is great and affordable and the staff is friendly every time. We always did pickup but the interior is also really charming and seems great to eat in at. We especially love the garlic eggplant, the fried rice, and the chow fun
