Went awhile back and they were not very accommodating. There was a (burger of the day type thing) and I offered to pay more to have one small change due to an allergy. They told me they couldn’t do it unless I ordered the same exact burger as a custom burger. Doing this would be close to doubling the price. As a result I only got fries. At the Smash Burger in East Hanover I had a similar issue. They charged our table for a gluten free bun which they didn’t give to us because they ran out. They still charged us an extra 2 or 3 dollars for the non-existent bun. For the allergy community this may be a place to be careful of, for everyone else I hear good things. It’s not like a family owned place so keep it simple or they’ll bring out the rule book.

Love this Smashburger location. My order always come out correct unlike the other locations I’ve visited. The team is extremely friendly and the manager Bruce walks around and ask every customer if everything is ok. Talk about customer service at a Fast Food restaurant!

I like a lot of people like a good burger well cheeseburger as I don’t eat burgers. Please don’t ask it’s just what it is. Now I really don’t like going to burger places cause the burgers are cooked well done..I am a medium rare kind of a guy. Wife and I stopped in wife ordered first double smash bacon burger with fries. I being who I am messed with the young lady.taking our order. I tell her I want double smash bacon cheeseburger with raw onions. I tell her I don’t want my cheeseburger to be stuffed with cheese the cheese have to be on top. She looked confused my wife said pay no attention to him he is just messing with you.
True but a burger stuffed with cheese isn’t a cheeseburger. Now that we go that out the way let’s talk about the food. The burger was moist surprisely being that it was cooked medium well. I get the haystack onions they are worth stopping in alone. Now I’m not going to lie I was driving an eating so maybe that is the reason it was really good. So of course we had to good and dine in the second time. Same meal was ordered double smash cheeseburger with haystack onions. Onions didn’t disappoint the burger not as good as the drive home burger. Must be the cook different people made the two burgers. Will I stop in again sure why simply cause from the different burger places SmashBurger is better. Yelp doesn’t allow us to give 1/4 or 1/2 stars so rating 3.5 stars.

Good burgers, but it seems like short staff every time I visit. If you cannot wait for 10-15 minutes. Don’t go to this location. Slippery /dirty floors. Much prefer the Totowa and East Hanover locations

First experience here not the best would have been just as satisfied, if not more, with Burger King.
There were 2 people running the entire place. I had asked the person working the counter why so little staff. He said someone called out.
If this was my restaurant I would have gone to help the poor staff working like dogs to keep the place open.
The owner should be ashamed of his/herself.

Good burger/shake I’ve had. We ended up going here by accident. We were in the area for a football game, and we’re looking for something quick to eat. Favorable service and we will definitely return.

No HEAT in restaurant!!! Food came wrong and each of our 4 orders came out at separate times. 5lbs of Mayo globbed on the burger. Cooks don’t seem to know what their doing, manager kept on telling them to fix orders. Stay in school kids !!!

Bland beef patty! Got the “Big” Classic burger, 1oz bigger for $1 more, with everthing. Bottom of bun wasn’t up for the task, soggy and flat only after a couple bites. Overall ok but over $10 and no drink! IMHO, Denny’s or IHOP has better burgers.
