Just an amazing Greenwood experience. Giardina’s is a pearl in the oyster of the delta.
A retro-speak easy, curtain booths, private tables and excellent service. The curtained booths harken back to prohibition era wherein you could imbibe in privacy and avoid the revenuers…
Apps are unique and staples; Worcestershire BBQ shrimp with bread to dip, onion rings or fried pickles.
Fresh salads, excellent comeback dressing, great Cesar dressing.
Entrees are sufficient to please every palate. Steaks, fish, pastas, chicken and the like.
The ribeyes are cooked to order with a savory compound butter. The filet is tender and delicious.
The chicken parm is as good as they come.
The fried catfish is local, fried crispy and delicious.
The house specials, whatever they may be, are special. It was a crab torte on this visit!
Sides are great. Home fries, oven roasted sweet potatoes, and a variety of others.
The broccoli is a star. It’s Better than any broccoli you’ve ever had. Tender with charred bits. Fresh parm. Dip it into some of your steak jus and you just experienced broccoli heaven.
The Brussel sprouts are amazing. Worth the drive!
Service is above and beyond. Full bar, unique drinks and an adequate wine list.
Desserts are available, and the chocolate chip cake with ice cream is better and more special than it sounds…
SPECIAL NOTE: There’s a negative, 2-star review by Gary Demaree. He has his comments turned off or I would have commented directly to him. He characterized his visit as being placed in a department store dressing room and attributed it to racism! He made note that he and his companion were a mixed race couple and after all this was Mississippi. Gary’s ignorance of the prohibition booth and curtains is astounding, but he now associates his experience as bad due to his lack of knowledge. Be advised the Curtain Booths are NOT to hide your race! It’s to hide your alcohol consumption, Gary!!

This place was really unique, in a good way. It has individual rooms, reminded me of a changing room. This would be great for business dinner or a romantic date night. The food was great and the martini spot on! I had the Table 1 catfish and my coworker had the salmon piccata. Both meals were filling and delicious! Our waitress was the best, friendly and informative!

The restaurant was quite a surprise! We had our own private dining area, which made the experience feel special and relaxing. The service was excellent, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty—definitely recommend trying the fried olives if you’ve never had them before! This place is truly a hidden gem.

We were spending a night at The Alluvian, and stopped in for a light dinner. We weren’t prepared for the historic space, as they put us in what they call “Booth Number Zero.” It was like its own little room, with a curtain ensuring privacy from the rest of the restaurant– very quiet and intimate.
If there is a complaint, and it’s my own fault, it’s that I wasn’t hungry enough to get something more substantial! The Caesar salad with blackened chicken was truly exceptional (the stomach wanted the spinach manicotti but the brain said otherwise), and the fried Gulf shrimp appetizer was to die for. Wonderful service, all of the people at The Alluvian were tops, it was a shame we were only there for one night.
If we come back to the area, no question where we will stay. Thank you.

Nice spot for a “fancier” dinner when we wanted something out of the normal burger-and-fries. The food was high quality — steaks, seafood, pasta, etc. The ambiance: elegant but comfortable, so you don’t feel out of place with kids. They even have a children’s menu. What I appreciated: good service, attention to detail, and that everyone in the family felt treated well. The one drawback: it’s more of an evening destination (dinner only), so that means babysitter-mode logistics, bedtime, etc., can be tricky with younger kids. Still, for special occasion or nice night out – very worthwhile

Had a nice dinner while we were in town for work. Made a reservation arrived early and our table was ready so no waiting. Service was good. I got the spaghetti and meatballs it was just a little too greasy for me you could see the grease in the sauce but it was good i did eat it! Dessert was excellent! I would eat there again if ever in town.

Best steak we have ever had! The cook Steven was very attentive to make sure our steak was exactly as ordered and he did not disappoint! Even came to the table to be sure we were satisfied! And our waitress Tanya was the BEST! Cannot say enough great things about her! Food and service top notch!!! Can’t wait for our next visit!!

This absolutely the weirdest restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. We were staying at the Alluvian Hotel inside which is this restaurant. We were eating early on a Monday. Like 6PM. We had no reservation. They seated us in what is best described as a dressing room in a Department Store! Four white walls with a curtain for a door. Walls were dirty. Food was okay as I remember but my wife and I were laughing so hard we hardly noticed. Maybe it was because we are a mixed couple? And this is Mississippi. Don’t know. I have read there is traditional seating but we never saw any.

Food and atmosphere were wonderful! Got there early so a little puzzled why my server kept disappearing for long periods of time. Chicken Parm was excellent!
