found this place from google reviews! Parking on street store front and stopped on a Saturday morning.

They have minimal seating outside and lots of tables and sitting areas inside. AC indoors. Counter of baked items had a good variety when I got in.

ORDERED- Two plain malasadas, 1 vanilla filled malasada and I noticed they had taro frappe’s however, I ordered it as an iced latte 16oz.

OMG- the flavor was amazing! Thick taro sauce and espresso was pretty strong! The espresso has chocolate notes to it, which I honestly do not usually order if it does, but the taro flavor helped cover that up.

Overall cute shop. Would definitely stop by here again, maybe a bit earlier to order their baked foods again.

Great experience! Staff were super nice and pleasant. Amazing pastries. I personally had the Cranberry Walnut Coffee Cake and would highly recommend. Get there early for more options and savory goods

I stopped by Wailua Bakeshop twice during my trip to Kauai and it quickly became one of my favorite spots on the island. Everything here is excellent. The pastries are fresh, the malasadas are ridiculously good, and the coffee (especially the iced and hazelnut lattes) was perfect. Both times I visited, Kylie helped me out and she was super friendly and professional. You can tell the whole place takes pride in what they do. I only wish we had something like this back home in SoCal. Definitely coming back next time I’m on Kauai!

Very tasty malasadas. Plain are $1.50 and fantastic. Also tried 2 filled (passion fruit & ube) both yummy, $3.50 each. Excited to come back again on our trip.

We discovered a true gem on Kauai island: Wailua Bakeshop. Experiencing jet lag, we woke up early and found that there were only a few options open at 6 AM. We decided to give Wailua Bakeshop a try, and it quickly became our favorite spot on the entire island.

The pastries, lattes, and matcha lattes at Wailua Bakeshop were incredibly fresh and delicious. We sampled a variety of treats, including the malasada, blueberry scone, maple pecan scone, and strawberry cheesecake Danish. Each item was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and baked to perfection.

The owners of the bakeshop were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our visits even more enjoyable. We even took a photo with them to remember the wonderful experience. Typically, I have a personal rule to never visit the same place twice, but Wailua Bakeshop was so exceptional that I happily broke my rule for trying the amazing coffee and other pastries they have.

If you find yourself on Kauai island, Wailua Bakeshop is an absolute must-visit. Its charming atmosphere, delectable pastries, and warm hospitality make it a standout spot that you’ll want to return to again and again.

Everything is delicious (though the malasadas come highly recommended). The coffee is also lovely. Kudos to the service team for their warmth on a humid Kauai morning!

To anyone looking for a tasty treat in the area. The pastries were perfectly flaky and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The lattes were also top-notch, with just the right amount of foam and a great depth of flavor.

The ambiance of the bakery was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a sweet treat. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Wailua Bakeshop and will definitely be returning soon to try more of their delicious offerings. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and treat yourself to some of the best pastries and lattes around. You won’t be disappointed!

Favorite spot in Kapa’a for a morning treat! Offering both sweet & savory pastry and hot & cold beverages. The sourdough bread is delicious – we’ve used it for French toast, stuffing/dressing, and of course it’s delectable just sliced and served!

One of the best chais we had on island. Java Kai is our favorite coffee shop. This is more of a stark diner feel. Does have limited bar top seating. Malasada was majorly disappointing. Which is primarily why we stopped. We had the most amazing Malasada in Maui made fresh and this was not worth the calories. Malasada was heavy and basically an uninspiring bread covered in sugar. Hope their other pastries are better but would pass on their Malasada and try other treats or stick to the drinks since they are so good.
