We loved this place! The premium steak ramen was super good and the tofu oil noodles are definitely a must try. The veggie tempura came with an amazing sauce and the passionfruit green tea was so refreshing. The coconut jelly was light and not too sweet which made it a perfect way to end the meal.
They also offer free refills of hot tea which was such a nice surprise. The staff were really friendly, our food came out fast, and the restaurant has a beautiful decor. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes on the menu!

We’ve been to this location under different iterations, the last one a dumpling and bbq place. In its current state, it’s a ramen and rice dish restaurant with excellent appetizers! The prices are very reasonable in return for the high quality ingredients and delicious meals. My wife ordered a chicken udon bowl while I opted for the beef brisket ramen. So as to minimize loss, they do not automatically serve banchan, you have to ask for it…but the server considerately asked if I wanted it (banchan are the pickled garnishes popular at Korean restaurants). Mine was a trio of seaweed salad, daikon, and kimchi. We also ordered two appetizers, a takoyaki (battered octopus balls topped with shaved bonito, and fried pork dumplings). The food arrived quickly and everyone who came by our table asked how we were enjoying our meal—I said that we loved everything). When we had gotten our to go containers and paid our check, they said we were welcome to linger and would let us know if it got too busy. As a result, this was a very pleasant and memorable dining experience that will be hard to top in 2026. I will add that I used Google Assistant to book this table on the Sunday leading into Valentine’s Day. It worked out perfectly so I recommend its usage to anyone interested in trying out Ittonken. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine, I think you’ll love it.

The food was great and came out quickly! The flavors are a good amount of flavorful, not being too salty. The atmosphere was wonderful and the decorations were very cute. Service was friendly and gave us complementary fruits. Would recommend!

For the price of $14.95 plus Tax/tip, the potbelly ramen was so worth it. The bowls are big, and they give a lot of delicious broth. Everything tastes really good together. It’s very well incorporated. I like how you can choose the base- Tokotsu Shoyu was really good. Also I like how you have to ask for the side dishes, so that it doesn’t go to waste for someone like me who doesn’t like them.
If I wasn’t full, I would have liked to have gotten a drink at the end. I wish they would expand into more areas! The staff was pretty attentive throughout the dine-in.

We are from out of town and was hungry for good Ramen. We looked it up and found this place! It did not disappoint! The waiter was helpful with picking a choice. We left happy and full with our decision. The pork belly was on point! Thank you!

First time trying this place and went on Sunday, shortly after noon. It is a little bit from UIUC campus but not too far. The food and service was solid. Food order: Tempora vegetables for appetizer, Pork Belly Ramen (tonkotsu), Scallop Ramen (tonkotsu spicy), and chicken oil noodles, and shared a mango sago (50% sugar). Food was solid overall. Would have appreciated a little more chicken in the oil chicken noodles. Ramen was good and we were offered a free noodle refill halfway through the meal but declined because we were full. Mango Sago had good flavor and sweetness with 59% sugar but would have appreciated more mango, please. Go up to the counter to pay when you are done with the meal.

We had dinner at Ittoken last week. I had the steak stir fry with udon noodles and my friend had the chicken version. The meat was tender and there was a good amount of it. I liked the variety of veggies in the dish as well. The strawberry matcha was delicious. I like that you can choose the level of sweetness. I chose 50% sweet and it was perfect. The wait staff continually filled our water glasses and were very pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. The place itself was clean. Overall a great experience.

By far one of the most warm and attentive service I’ve had in an Asian restaurant in Champaign. There’s a clear dedication the team at Ittonken put into making every dining occasion special. The food is a decent spread of Japanese, Korean & Chinese food on offer, and all at affordable prices even at dinner time. It’s a place that I really look forward to going back to when I have the chance.

Gotta be honest, was out here for a work trip and was blown away but this small place right next to my hotel. Food was immaculate and honestly shocking for just looking for a ramen shop nearby! Highly would recommend coming here for any ramen lovers in the area or like me who’s visiting!
