First time I’ve been to simple Simon’s in about 10 years. My hometown had one but this is the last one I think I’ve seen around. I’ve always enjoyed the sausage pizzas also realized as long as they put enough sauce on them they are the best. I ended up getting a calzone as well while I was there so that was also a blast from the past and it was also very awesome.

In the fall of 2021, my job required me to drive down to Cleveland for a bit and so I would stop and eat at this Hominy Simple Simon’s on my way back to Pawhuska. The first couple of times it was fine although nothing spectacular. There was generally only three or four types of pizzas on the buffet table, some really undercooked cheesy bread and Calizone which was NEVER hot.
For $10.50, you couldn’t complain. Unfortunately, something happened in early 2022 that ended my stops here and it involves personal hygiene by the townspeople that eat at this particular Simple Simon’s.
A commercial truck pulled up before I did and about four or five young men in their 20’s and early 30’s, DIRTY AS HECK, got out of the truck and proceeded to enter the restaurant. What happened next was stomach turning. The men looked as though they were covered in mud, dirt and sewage, did not wash their hands but went straight to the pizza buffet and left their soot and griminess all over the spatulas and everything else that they touched. None of the employees came by to clean up after them or do much damage control whatsoever.
They lost me as a customer. If you do decide to eat here, folks, please take a pair of gloves so that you don’t get some infection passed over to you by your fellow diners because the town folk that dine here, are not clean.

We ended up at this restaurant while winding through Oklahoma on a road trip to Texas. It was unassuming with one worker who appeared to be taking the orders and cooking. Let me tell you… she was a whiz. Great personally and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. My calzone was huge. Enough for two or three to share. Thanks Hominy … you were good to us.
