Worth the drive! If you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere and excellent food, look no further than The Boardroom in West Unity. It is right next to mill district Deli. The food is friendly…. Upscale flare. Great place for date night, family dinner, or business hangout. Easy way to tell your spouse you’re stuck in the boardroom! The smash burger is perfectly cooked with this everything brioche bun. Tonight I had the Hot honey sandwich, and I would say it was absolute perfection. Served with sidewinder fries which were amazing! I paired that with a fun drink, lemon drop martini. They have absolutely tons of drink options!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience All Around
The Mill District Boardroom blew me away. The food was phenomenal and the service went above and beyond what you’d expect anywhere, let alone in a small town. You can tell the team here really cares about creating a great experience.
It’s the kind of place that works for anything: date night, a birthday, or even just treating yourself after a long week. West Unity is lucky to have a spot this good. I’ll definitely be back!

Mill District Boardroom is our family’s absolute favorite spot – we’ve been here 10+ times and everything is perfect every single visit.
The food is unreal. The smash burger is hands-down the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Crispy edges, juicy, perfectly seasoned.
Drinks are killer, service is fast and friendly (they treat us like family every time), and the vibe is perfect – cool exposed brick, neon signs, TVs for games, but still totally kid/family friendly. Whether we dine in or grab carry-out, it’s always spot-on.
West Unity doesn’t know how good they have it. Mill District Boardroom isn’t just a restaurant… it feels like home. We’ll be back next weekend (and the weekend after that, and the one after that).

Absolute gem in the heart of West Unity. You can feel the care in every detail — from the fresh cocktail garnishes to hand-sliced mushrooms perfectly seared on a burger. The food is fresh, the beer selection is strong, and the quality shows.
Big appreciation to the Kings for what they’ve built and what they continue to do for our small community.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Food — 12/10 Service!
The Mill District Boardroom is an absolute gem in West Unity. An incredible expansion of the Mill District Deli and Holly Jolly Christmas Shops, this place is everything our town needed and more. The food was 10 stars — creative, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And the service? Easily 12 stars. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just grabbing a night out with family or friends, this is the spot. West Unity has something truly special here. Highly recommend!

Was somewhat dissapointed after seeing the reviews for this place. Had the smash burger which was just okay, nothing special. The burger came with a very small order of chips for $14. We also ordered an appetizer that came with 4 wings, 6 onion rings and a small order of pretzel bread for $22. Again, nothing special about the appetizer other than it was extremely over priced. Bottom line was that 3 people shared and appetizer and had a sandwich for a total of $90 for lunch and it was nothing special. Needless to say, I won’t come back for this!

Table of 8 no reservation and was all blown away by the food. I got the apple butter old fashioned and it was perfect, so many flavors. I got the pork sliders as an appetizer and it was very juicy with brioche slider buns. Then for dinner I got the fried chicken thigh sandwich which had a spicy peach jam also on a brioche bun, phenomenal meal all around. On the table was also chicken chunks which was fresh chicken with a thin crispy breading (perfect), fries were potato wedges like I’ve never seen and they were amazing, smash burgers were not burnt to a crisp and dry like many other places, and my daughter tore up the fried cheese wedges. Many fun beers on tap, many well thought cocktails, and very unique flavors on the menu. Hidden gem is definitely worth checking out!

Living in the city, you get used to little aggravations everywhere. Things are expensive, or a little inconvenient, or usually both. It used to be, you could get away from all of that in a quaint little town somewhere. Those days are gone. Norman Rockwell is dead and he’s been chopped up and parted out. When I go somewhere like West Unity, Ohio, I don’t want to go to the only restaurant in town and bow down to their culinary monopoly like an old coal company town store by sacrificing an entire 13 dollars for a cheesesteak and JUST the cheesesteak (fries will be an extra 5 dollars). I don’t want to sit in a building with no reception and wait and wait to load a QR code menu just to look at a taplist, a problem which was solved over two hundred years ago by the invention of the chalkboard, and even earlier by paper. And I definitely don’t want to suffer a final humiliation by being made to eat my expensive sandwich off of a plank of wood, I’m a grown adult and I would prefer a plate. Three stars.
