Ordered from here because it has some of the better reviews for hibachi in the area, but I am not impressed. Portion size was great for the price. But the steak is very tough, and the rice seems like it has sat in a rice cooker all day and is glued together. Nothing seems very fresh or freshly cooked.

Wow…. Just wow! I just moved here and I ask for recommendations all the time on where to go for good affordable and healthy food. A nice lady at Five Below told me to go to Hibachi 88 if I like Hibachi food. YES!! I got the combo with chicken steak and shrimp. Plus some edamame as an appetizer and they did not disappoint! I was literally licking my lips after every bite. Y’all MUST try this place. YUM to the Nth degree!!

I used to come here all the time and really loved the food, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back. My mom got very sick after eating here and ended up with food poisoning. (Ordered on 2/21/26) I can say that confidently because it was the only thing she ate that day. Honestly, the last time I had it, it wasn’t great either. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.

Been going here for years except for this past year. Just haven’t been craving Hibachi. However, I was definitely disappointed this time. We ordered right there at the counter and they still got both of our orders wrong. When we went back to the counter to complain, we were told “that’s not what we ordered.” They eventually corrected one of our orders. I really didn’t care that my shrimp was missing because they didn’t charge me for it. The food was really good, but I’m not sure I’ll go back. It was just too frustrating.

I’ve already been to Hibachi 88 twice in the past two weeks, and I can honestly say it’s quickly becoming a favorite! The steak hibachi and chicken skewers are amazing. Tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portions are generous, and for only about $17 you get a LOT of food, which is such a great value. Both times I left full and impressed. Definitely recommend if you’re craving hibachi without breaking the bank!

The food tastes great, but I’ve eaten here several times and every time it’s absolutely destroyed my stomach and messed up my next day. Makes me question the way they cook the food or the ingredients. I wish it didn’t have this effect, because the food is good. However, I eat Indian food all the time and my stomach is fine, but this food really messes me up.

First time here, ordered takeout and it was a good portion of food. The chicken had an interesting and unique sauce that I wasn’t expecting with hibachi chicken and it was a lot sweet than expected but it was still quite delicious. Definitely will be coming back. Wish there was a bit more veggies to chicken ratio and maybe a little less rice because the veggies ended up being my favorite around $13 for lunch was not too bad for a good amount of food.

Ordered Chicken and Steak Hibachi with extra Veggies. Totally worth it! Meal was fresh, not over cooked, rice was light and fluffy without a greasy taste or texture. Veggies where perfectly cooked with a little crunch left in them. If your a Hibachi fan like me, I absolutely recommend Hibachi 88.

If you want a plate of rice with meat and veggies on the side , this is the place for you. I can’t even get a full side of veggies , rice is packed at the bottom while they give you 4 slices of carrots , 4-5 pieces of broccoli , 6 shrimp and 6 tiny pieces of steak. I’m more upset bc I was debating about going to this hibachi 88 in Cary or the one in Durham. Well i definitely regretted my decision . $15-17 dollars for rice is a rip off!!!

I’ve been searching for a high-quality hibachi place for so long. Hibachi 88 is that place. Decent price prices, excellent quality, and amazing flavor.
This place knocks the socks off of any other local hibachi place. They are somewhat new in Cary, but if you haven’t been- you need to go. I cannot recommend them enough.
