I went for lunch with a friend and wish I took more pictures. Then came back for breakfast with my kids and the service both times was excellent. The food tasted great and I would prefer LA Terraza over many of the Mexican grill places in our area. The guacamole made table side is a great touch. They listen to any mods and love how diverse the menu is. The breakfast is great for all families. The funky monkey was a bit too oily for us but still had great flavor. The cannoli waffle could use more topping. Otherwise, great food and great service. It is a must try for lunch/dinner and breakfast!

I enjoyed my homemade salsa and chips, then enchiladas suizas. The shredded chicken tinga stuffing my corn tortillas was gently spiced with chilies in adobo and Mexican cinnamon, and topped with homemade salsa verde (tomatillos) and a generous griddled queso blanco. Refried beans were very good. Another guy’s review who claimed that the food ‘shouldn’t taste like cinnamon’ has clearly never been to Mexico, as cinnamon/ canela is a spice that adds depth and gentle warmth to moles and braised meat dishes- like the filling in my enchiladas. I’m very grumpy because we got home and I realized that I left my leftovers takeaway box on the table, too far to drive back before closing. Husband ate his entire burrito. Now we will have to come back sooner. Service by the young staff was fast and friendly. BYOB and try horchata or a virgin marg. ¡Buen Provecho!

We had been curious to visit La Terraza since they opened, so before we went to Rich Farm up the street, we decided to check them out for dinner. The staff was kind, and there was plenty of seating on the main level, upstairs, and outside. One of the first things we were surprised to see was that they had only non-alcoholic options. We asked, and they said they’re still trying to get their liquor license and that they’re BYOB. I understand, but definitely a little bit of a draw back and unexpected from a Mexican restaurant. The menu had a lot of options, including breakfast which I’ll have to keep in mind, and the food came out quickly. The guacamole was prepared table-side, and though nothing was bad, it just didn’t beat our favorite in our hometown. I didn’t find it to be super authentic tasting, and the rice and beans definitely lacked flavor. Good option to have in Oxford though.

My husband and I decided to go for Mexican this evening and we happen to be in the Oxford area. We decided on this place because the outside looked appealing. When we entered, the decor was really pretty and festive. It definitely gave the vibes I believe it was going for. The music was also great. The service was also great. It got pretty busy however, our waitress was still very attentive. The reason I gave it three stars is because my husband and I agreed that the food was just OK. Most of it lacked flavor. The al pastor taco for example was not the best. It tasted like they just added the pineapples on top and did a quick mix. It wasn’t really a combination of the meat and the pineapple an al Paso taco usually gives. I was not a fan of the corn tortillas at all as well. The churro was a bit dry maybe having it with a dipping sauce or ice cream would be a better combo. The rice and beans lacked flavor and this was honestly my least favorite chile relleno I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed his torta. I unfortunately would not return here for food.

The service was excellent, no issues having the grandchildren! Food was excellent, Summer salad with the house dressing was so good. Our table had a bowls, burrito, tacos and quesadillas- all received rave reviews! Decor is captivating and the cleanliness is to be commended.

Everything about our first visit was top notch. The atmosphere was welcoming, the music was not too loud, our waitress, Aby, was kind and efficient . And the food?! Delicious !! The homemade salsa that came before our meals was the perfect temperature, not too spicy and not too mild. The presentation of the food was nicely done, also. We will definitely be back.

Our first visit. They have complimentary chips and salsa. We had chile relleno, chicken with a mole sauce and freshly made guacamole. We had churros for dessert. I asked for a hotter salsa and they had some. The food was good and fairly authentic for this far north (I’m from Texas).
We did BYOB. We asked that they turn down the authentic Mexican music and they did. Service was good. Could have been more professional.
They were full-up from 6:30 to 7PM on this Tuesday night.
We will certainly return. We thought the food was quite tasty and not bland. Prices seem to be in line, though rice and beans cost pennies. They could use better cuts of chicken than drumsticks and one medium-sized chile relleno was a rather meager portion.
The Guacamole was soupy. It tasted good but for some reason had liquid in it.

I love Mexican food, so I was excited to see this new addition open in Oxford. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff.
Complimentary chips and salsa when you are seated. My boyfriend ordered the fajitas, and I was surprised to see they only came with rice and beans. Usually fajitas are served with cheese, and sour cream, guacamole and/or salsa, or other toppings. Sour cream is listed on the menu as a side for $2 and guacamole $5. Guacamole is usually an additional charge at most restaurants, but I was surprised to see sour cream as well. Especially since it is such a commonly ordered item.
I got the Birria tacos, which were crispy, cheesy and flavorful. We ended the meal with churros which were delicious.
*Of note, no liquor license yet, so only soft drinks and virgin pina coladas/margaritas are served.
