We always have lunch here when we visit the Joslyn. The menu, atmosphere, vibe, food, value, and service are excellent.
You order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. They take credit cards. And I cant emphasize enough how wonderful the employees are. And of course, the food.

What a cool museum cafe. Their menu has something for everyone, and I wanted to try five different things at once, but alas, went with the panang curry and tofu. It was SO delicious, especially with the crispy rice patty, and there was nothing left on my plate by the time I was done. Great service, and a super cozy space, too.

The Durham Cafe is such a beautiful and pleasant space, with delicious food and gorgeous views. The matcha is ceremonial grade, warm, strait forward and refreshing. They offer a variety of baked treats (the chocolate chip cookie is really good) but the main dishes are chef level good. Whether you opt for the veggie laced Frittata or the breakfast dish with chorizo, eggs and potatoes, this place is a WIN. There’s plenty of room for larger groups, but it’s ideal for couples or musing introverts as well. Durham Cafe is an absolute 12 out of 10

The Joslyn made an incredible decision to bring Clean Slate Food Co in to do the cafe! Their food is incredible, and wildly inexpensive.
Fast food prices for Beard Award quality food. I’ve just been going into the museum and straight to the cafe, the food is better than the art!

I was starving so went to get food from the cafe. OMG, the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever eaten
Crisping up the pulled pork was a genius move and the coleslaw and freshly pickled cucumbers added the perfect acidity to the meat.
Definitely my fav part of the museum!

I was sad to go today and see they had gotten rid of the delicious rice dish, and that the “new menu” doesn’t include hardly any vegan options, except a house salad. There was also a panzanella salad that was labeled as “vg” for vegan but has burrata? This is a dangerous typo for those with allergies. I hope they do better. The menu has gotten very meat heavy, which seems the opposite of clean eating to me. Maybe I’m taking their name too literally Next time we visit the museum, we’ll sadly have to eat beforehand, which is disappointing.

Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. A great spot to relax or hang out. The atmosphere is calm, and the food and drinks are genuinely good, worth a visit even if you’re not here for the museum.

First off, their Mexican mocha needs to always be around. We love coming for the food and their lattes served in mugs. Soon they will need more tables because I know we are not the only ones who come to the museum just for the food.

I had a great sandwich, very little wait time (however, I was grabbing food at 2:30pm).
The clerk who took my order & brought my food was very nice & helpful.
