The place has great food and great staff! From the last reviews we almost didn’t want to go there. We were very happy we did. The half a pound burger with slices of bacon was the greatest ever! It was so good! The Chili was very tasty and plenty of meat and two types of beans with wonderful cheese on top. The IPA beer was very cold and tasty, too! The local people there were enjoying sitting at the bar. A nice way to have a late lunch and get out of the 100° temperature outside.

Tiffany was an exceptional bartender! We were visiting from out of town and just wanted to stop in for a drink and some food. We were greeted by a cheerful, happy woman behind the bar (Tiffany) who continued to check on us at our table to see how we liked the food, if we needed anything else, etc. My friend even forgot her glasses case at the table when we left, which was AT CLOSING TIME, but Tiffany had gotten the case and saved it for us. She even said she was going to walk it over to the hotel we were staying at, but we walked back over and got it before she did so. I admit, I was not expecting to have such stellar service in a tavern in Dufur, but Tiffany far surpassed my expectation of the whole experience. If/when we ever come back to Dufur, we will definitely be going back to the Tavern because of the excellent service we received! The bar food was good and the cook seemed busy while we were there, but not too busy. Our food actually arrived at our table faster than I expected as well. Over all, we had a very pleasant experience. Even the atmosphere was clean and quaint, for a tavern/bar. Great job, Dufur Valley Tavern! Hold on to Tiffany! That woman is a keeper!!!

Stopped in and had dinner on our way back to pdx… we were pleasantly surprised the food was delicious and the service was excellent! Such a cute and fun spot! If you’re ever in the area we’d highly recommend.
