Might be some of the best tacos on the strip. The meat is grilled and tacos are prepared right in front of you. Easy to get your food and find seating. The meat was tender and flavorful. Salsas and condiments were fresh. Would recommend if you’re nearby!

The tacos are good, no question about that. Freshly made tortillas, well-prepared meat, and a flavor that genuinely tastes like Mexico. The Mexican-style taquería concept is solid, and the authenticity shows.

The problem is everything else.

Waiting one to two hours just to order tacos is a headache. The line system is very poorly organized: one line for pastor, another for carne asada, another for other tacos. If you want a mix of tacos, you have to stand in multiple lines, which is inefficient and frustrating.

On top of that, finding a table feels like a battle because the place is constantly overcrowded. I understand the appeal of watching your tacos being made fresh, but the sheer volume of people completely overwhelms the experience.

Yes, the tacos taste good. But realistically, they are not worth losing one or two hours of your time in Las Vegas. There are way too many things to do in this city to spend that long waiting in line. You can find tacos almost anywhere; your time in Vegas is far more valuable.

Bottom line: good tacos, bad experience. Not worth the wait in my opinion.

It’s good and always has been, but there’s a new sheriff in town: Tacos “EL PASTOR” next door is actually way better. I did a side by side comparison of Asada tacos and Al Pastor tacos from both places. “El Pastor” taquería’s tacos were more delicious and add real guacamole. Tacos El Gordo has some creamy sauce. The flavor is good, but the place next door is better.

If you’re in Las Vegas, Tacos El Gordo is a must-stop. With several locations around the city, you’re never too far from authentic, freshly prepared tacos served fast and full of flavor. I tried the al pastor and steak tacos, both were absolutely delicious and cooked right in front of you.
One tip: their sauces can be very spicy, so if you’re not a fan of heat, be sure to ask for no spicy sauce.

Recommended by local Mexican driver and you will not regret to go there!
Meat are fresh cooked and chopped, all the taco taste wonderful. We preferred all the beef ones and I especially enjoyed those crispy tostadas.
It’s more like a self service place and you should grab the plate to join the queue, this part is a little bit confusing for the first time, but once you adapt the buying procedure should be really fast.
Price is super cheap and you can get roasted onions and pepper for free

This place is a Vegas must-have. Everything we tried was incredibly tasty, and you could tell the meat was fresh and prepared on the spot. The flavors were spot on, and every bite was satisfying. If you’re in Vegas and craving tacos, this place is definitely worth a visit.

This place is La Bam!!!! pick the line for the type of taco, tostada, mula or what is is you want. Served fresh like Katz in NYC. I had the Asada ( not so bueno) and a chorizo ( Excellente!)tacos. Great additions, the salsa, cilantro, onions good edition the guacamole is unreal. I wish I knew what they put in it because I love it. This is probably the best chorizo I’ve had not greasy runny, that makes a great taco taste excellent.

Tacos El Gordo is easily one of the best quick-serve food spots on the Strip. The moment you walk in, you feel the energy—fast, busy, and filled with the smell of fresh tortillas and seasoned meats grilling right in front of you. I had the carna asada tacos, and they were outstanding: tender, flavorful, and cooked the meat in front of us . The salsas were fresh, the portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic and made with care.

The line can move fast or slow depending on the rush, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Staff keeps things moving and delivers great food every time. This is one of those rare places where the quality matches the hype.

If you’re on Las Vegas Blvd and craving real, flavor-packed Mexican food, Tacos El Gordo is a must-stop. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

I went here for lunch during a work convention. The ordering system is a little confusing and they did t offer much help. There should be person …sort of a triage in the front helping people that are just aimlessly staring at the menu like myself. A sorter would make things better. Decent taco and normal drinks…I got the steak but would have tried more if there was some sort of guidance.

Located on the Las Vegas strip, so you know they are really good! Authentic Mexican tacos served fresh and made to order. The stations, numbered 1 through 6 and separated by protein choice(pork, fries, chorizos, steak). Once you narrow down your meat choice, then you must pick from tacos, sole, tostadas, and their feature taco Azteca! I love the crunchy corn shells, so I recommend their Adobada(pork) tostada. They top this dish with diced onions and small bits of pork(tasted like bacon bits). The taco azteca was an interesting combination, the green sauce was a creamy, dressing which added great flavor. They add slices of grilled, pickled nopalitos (cactus).
