Today we stopped by to buy some bread for Chinese New Year at JJ Bakery, decided to try Fragrant Jerky for the first time. Oh my god!!! they are so good. We bought 1/4 pound and drove off. Then, had to make a U-turn to buy 6 more pounds for family CNY gifts. They gave us new bags which is so nice.

We came in recommended by friends but not expecting much. We have tried these type jerky in Asia before. So my boyfriend bought some to try in the car. Oh boy! They were so good we went back in and got two bags of 1 pound for his family and mine. My dad bought more the next day for his mahjong buddies. The girl works there was very friendly. Highly recommended and buy again.

I randomly stopped by this store out of curiosity while waiting for my clothes to dry at the laundromat next door. Decided to give their Singaporean jerky a try and wow, the first thing I noticed was that it’s not overly dry like typical American jerky. It’s moist (but not wet) and has a sweet-and-salty, soy sauce–based Asian flavor that’s honestly pretty addictive. I ended up buying more than I planned to. The bacon pork jerky was my favorite, and the female staff was friendly, helpful, and quick with packing. I’ll definitely be back.

Fresh warm meat jerky! The service is friendly and they give samples. The original bacon is essentially meat candy. So delicious! We’ll be back for more.

The original pork and black pepper beef were great! For 1/4 lb, it was around $7.50 each. I’d recommend eating when warm, otherwise it’s feels too hard.

I made a list of what I wanted. There were quite a few duplicates. But I requested that everything be half a pound. It’s my fault for not checking carefully before paying because I had my baby with me. When I got home, I found that several bags were almost a pound each.

The shop assistant was dishonest; they deducted weight from the final product during repackaging.
