We are at Bodean last night. It was amazing. Our server was incredible. She knew the menu well. We asked questions about ingredients and she did not need to go ask the chef. We had the Wedge Salad, split for 2, Foie Gras, Tuna Tartar, Grilled Swordfish, King Crab Lomein. We would go back. Price was about what you’d expect for fine dining.

Gorgeous upscale dining experience. The service is excellent. The food is lovely. I got the gumbo but I swear it tasted like beef stew but a very delicious beef stew. The steak was cooked to perfection, maybe I’m just white trash but I like the way Texas Roadhouse seasons their steaks better. Sorry, not sorry.

Absolutely fantastic meal at Bodeans! Everything we ordered was spot on—started with the shrimp and lobster bisque, which was rich and flavorful, and the wedge salad was fresh and crisp. The crab cakes were some of the best we’ve had, packed with crab and delicious. For mains, the bouillabaisse fisherman’s stew was loaded with fresh seafood in a delicious broth, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Last night, I had dinner party with a group of 10 in the smaller private dining room. From the moment we entered the building, the service was impeccable. The manager graciously took a photo for me and then escorted each of us to our room with enthusiasm and a warm smile. Our waitress flawlessly took our orders without writing anything down, and every drink was served exactly as requested. She informed us about the specials and expertly managed our meal service. The staff delivered all our dishes simultaneously, presented beautifully. Every dish arrived hot and delicious. For anyone craving superb seafood and steak, Bodeans is the place to go. The staff is not only friendly and accommodating but also genuinely committed to ensuring every guest enjoys the finest dining experience possible.

My husband surprised me by reserving a table at this restaurant for our 39th anniversary because of all the great reviews and made the restaurant aware that this was our anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted nicely and seated in a very ideal location. The atmosphere was great, quiet, soft music…However, our waitress, Michelle, was clearly not happy to be there, came across as a snob, making the $150 tab that much harder to stomach. We politely asked her questions about the menu which seemed to offend her. Yes, as other reviewers have said, she did explain the different foods and fish types, robotically. Forced. Memorized. She did not acknowledge our anniversary but was almost giddy to the couple at the next table by loudly wishing them a happy anniversary. I noted that they didn’t mention this to her, which means they are probably “regulars” or she knew from the reservation that they also made. I assumed that she was not informed that it was also our anniversary so I decided to share this with her and her response was “I know, I was going to offer you a piece of cheese cake”. Not a HAPPY ANNIVERSAY, nothing. We have dined at MANY places for our anniversary over the years and never have we had a waitress seem to go to such great lengths to ignore this very special milestone we are deeply proud of. I’ve seen all the other reviews about how great she is, which makes me even sadder. Because now it feels personal. She obviously just didn’t like us. We did tip her the obligatory 20% but she didn’t deserve it. There are too many other things that happened during the meal to list. The food was good. $150 good? Not really. A young man came over with the cheesecake (one piece for two people) and wished us a happy anniversary, which was very nice. That at least gave us some satisfaction but reading all the good reviews about this particular waitress and being treated so poorly by her on what is such a special occasion for us has been disheartening. We decided to try again the next night and chose Tally’s Good Food Cafe, spending less than $50 for the best experience and food ever. We didn’t mention anything about an anniversary. Just there to eat. The waitress at Tally’s went out of her way to be kind, smiling, checking on us and earned every ounce of her tip. Hopefully Michelle will see this and take to heart the need to be more personable with ALL those she serves and not just a select few. We will not recommend this place and have shared with our large, extended family our not so great experience. Just goes to show the old saying “you get what you pay for” isn’t always true

Nolan was our outstanding server; we wanted for nothing. Sea bass was superb. Bodean’s sends every guest home with a complimentary coffee cake, which they make in house. Brilliant! Excellent experience; highly recommend and am definitely going back! Thank you Nolan.

Went for our anniversary. Had a great experience. The raw and Rockefeller oysters were on point and the steak was awesome. Service was what you wish other businesses would strive for. Will definitely be back.

I took my husband here for his birthday and he was treated so special thanks to the staff. Our waiter was amazing and took his time to explain in detail everything we have asked about the menu. The atmosphere was calm and romantic and the restaurant was clean! As for the food, AMAZING. Ingredients tasted fresh and the water provided was cold and always topped off. They provided my husband a desert for his birthday as well as the menu for the night signed by the chef that said “Happy Birthday”. Lovely experience, will definitely be back.
