Wonderful bar and grill. We got some apitizers, cheese curds and ocean Waves were good. I got the perch sandwich and it was excellent. Folks I was with got the hot beef which was decent, and the pizza which was ok. We did pay with a card. Would definitely get the fish.

We headed to Finn and Ale on a Friday night around 6:30. We did not have reservations, but only waited 20 minutes for a table. We started with cheese curds, which were paired with a tasty marinara. The cheese curds were perfectly fried and delicious. I had a patty melt on toasted marble rye bread. I asked for potato pancakes and was accidentally given fries. Our friendly server brought me the potato pancakes at no extra charge. My daughter had the ribs which she said were good but not as tender and “fall off the bone”as she would’ve liked. The price for a full rack was $20, very reasonable.
It seemed as though there were several regulars present. They were all very friendly and willing to give us suggestions on what to order. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back.

Rachel was our server and, the bartender. She is awesome ! I appreciate the staff’s friendliness, very conversational and insightful! I think I hit the sweet spot just missing the rush. That being said, the food was fantastic. It also came quick. I had a couple of Miller high life’s, a Coke, a patty melt, coleslaw, and I was full. My wife had the shrimp, lightly breaded, a side salad, some coleslaw, and a pink lemonade.

The layout is fantastic. Plenty of screens above the bar. Pretty much any type of event will be on. There is also a screen in the back above the jukebox, and one on the other wall. The bathrooms were spotless. And of course, you can see the kitchen, that was spotless also. This is a desirable destination. A place where you can chill, grab a bite of something really good, and have some hopefully intellectual conversation. In this day and age, that’s kind of a rare thing. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed, as you can see by my reviews, I wouldn’t lie to you! Gabito?

This place has amazing perch!!! Some of the absolute best not just in town but some of the best I ever ate! The filets are not the really thick fat low quality perch filets bars like to serve cuase they think quantity is better than quality these are good size perfect thickness filets and A1 quality! The sides were excellent too! This was on a Saturday too!

Food was really good and there is a fairly diverse menu. Our table had the perch dinner, smoked ribs, pulled pork and patty melt. For potatoes we had fries and potato pancakes. The fries were well seasoned and the potato pancakes were just a nice change.

The restaurant was busy, it was Friday, but cleared out around 7:30. Will definitely go again as there are other items I would like to try on the menu.

We went for my father’s birthday. With less than half the restaurant full, it took a little over 90 MINUTES to get 5 dinners! Then the portions were ridiculously small for a $20 meals. I’m not a big eater, but I left hungry. The food itself was about average, like you would get from an average family restaurant, just way overpriced. Other than the excessive wait time for the food, the was okay. Our meat was all heavily salted. Several of fellow customers said their meat was over salted as well. Kinda makes me wonder if they are serving expired meat. Guess I’ll know tomorrow. Unfortunately, my father’s birthday dinner was memorable for such across the board disappointment! Overall, not a good dining experience and a very poor value for your money!!

The staff were very friendly, helpful and showed personal interest. There were a number of people there that were obvious regulars and had a nice relationship with the staff. I ordered the most popular meal, the fried perch dinner. It lived up to the hype and was delicious. I also ordered the cheese curds. These were excellent and paired nicely with the marinara sauce (instead of a ranch which is common). If you want to relax with a brew, watch a game and eat some elevated food choices, I recommend a visit to Fin and Ale. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent restaurant. Great set-up with excellent seafood. The shrimp with brie was amazing. All of the seafood dishes are amazing. Highly recommend to watch the Bears or Packers game and have delicious, affordable food.

Perch and walleye combo came close to what I’ve been craving. I grew up eating reef and deep ocean fish, and this place has been the only place in town that serves good fish after trying a sushi and two other restaurants by the harbor.

The coleslaw acidity compliments the fish really well. We sat by the bar and got our orders in fairly quickly. The food arrived before we finished half our beer, and everything on the plate was good.

Oh, and if you like vinegarette, try their salad.

Thanks Fin and Ale team!
